There's been talk of those three leaving them for a few years now and it still hasn't happened. What kind of date rape is Levy giving them every summer?
Deadline Day thread (Arsenal + Non Arsenal)
They could be in pretty deep trouble. The CL run is very unlikely to be repeated and they're not title prospects this season. Pochettino is unsettled and his relationship with Levy is a mess. And they're deep in years of shit financially (despite the temporary windfall of reaching the CL final).
Don't envy them at this point.

Fuck Inter you mean. Their inability to beat PSV at home meant Spurs go through to the KO stage.
They actually have too many midfielders now and little wingers. Lo Celso and Dybala is overkill. Alli and Eriksen wants to play there too
Good point, I forgot about how embarrassing their group stage was. Hopefully they stop lucking out for once.
Ricky1985 wrote:Tottenham are loaning Lo Celso with an obligation to buy. I wonder if they don't have the money or have changed the deal last minute in order to try and use their money on Dybala? Maybe Eriksen will be sold in January or go on a free after all? That seems the most likely reason.
This is Levy conspiring with Betis to fuck PSG over, they have a sell on clause which is devalued if the transfer happens this way.
Spurs have a lot of players now. Will be formidable. They’re going for it, but they should’ve acquired a natural wide AM.
This is the first window in Emirates era that we addressed all the needs. I’m shook.
You excited for Zaha Claude?

Happy if it stays this way.
They really went all out. 30 mil for Sessegnon, 60 for Ndoumbele, 60 for Lo Celso, 70+ for Dybala. They are pushing Liverpool an City for it. £350k per week for Dybala.

We are actually bullying clubs like Chelsea into submission, savagely stealing their experienced CB in a summer where they can't buy players. Could never happen under Gazidis the fraud.

IF it works out that Lo Celso is Eriksen's replacement and Dybala was just a punt because he's levels above Lo Celso but it was always one or the other, I will gladly take that.

Let’s keep our cash. Lots of folks to integrate. No need for Zaha or Rugani.
Go back to Leipzig in January and collect our defender. Keep him unsettled
HomeSteak wrote:Only a 2 year deal, that's good. Also 8 milion is nothing. Basically we got Kos out and Luiz in for almost the same money.
If we are paying £8m and matching his chelski contract, he is £7.4m more expensive.
£8m + £120k a week (2 years) = £20,480,000
£4.5m + £90k a week + £75k a week = £13,080,000

David is earning his 4$ today.
I don't see how Lo Celso and Dybala fit in the same side. Makes no sense.

Maybe Lampard doesn’t want him around. Proper alpha who could destabilize the dressing room. Whatever the case, our gain.
Luiz is better than Koscielny

You forgot Eriksen. Is Alli going wide?
Lamela is fit too
Daily Record saying that Celtic have insisted on a 10% sell on clause in Tierney’s contract too. Not the biggest concern at the moment, if he works out well it’ll be worth it in the end.
How have spurs got all this money?
Their fan base isn’t that big is it?
To continue down this ridiculous rabbit hole, you would have to assume that the season is not 50+ games long and that you wouldn't require a large squad to compete. In which case, it would be a wonder how Tottenham will manage to play all of Son, Kane, Dybala, Lo Celso, Alli and Eriksen at once.
Eddie off on loan suggests something else happening on the attacking front
United pull out because Dybala's wages were too high, but stingy Daniel Levy can afford them?
Something doesn't fit here.

I expect Eriksen has to go. Which would be welcome as he’s their best player
I’m curious to see how they line these guys up. Dybala will want to be 3/4. Lo Celso can play 8 or 10. Ndombele likes to push forward, he’s not a DLP. And then you still have Alli. Do you push Alli and Son wide? Spurs have always prided themselves in having coherent teams.

That's my thinking as well, which is why I wouldn't rule out a late transfer for Zaha - maybe even on a loan deal (so out of next years budget) with obligation to buy with a couple of players thrown in.
United fans fuming at Woodward. As things stand it looks like Herrera, Lukaku, Valencia out with Maguire, James, AWB in. There's still a chance that Pogba goes too.

Most of them are not bothered.

He will probably get around it by lowering his wage and giving him a £10m signing on bonus. That way he doesn’t move the wage structure officially

Issue with United is that major transfer targets don't see them as being realistic challengers for top 4 places now or any time soon. If they don't fancy it, sure they would ask for China levels of money to join.
Sucks that Spurs are improving significantly. Their biggest issue last year was a lack of depth. They have already improved and if they can get Dybala as well they'll challenge City and Liverpool.
Son-Kane-Dybala is a hell of a strikeforce.
@lorddulaarsenal wrote:How have spurs got all this money?

They got big money for getting to the final last season.
They'll get money for Eriksen and maybe one or two more before the window shuts too.
So not recurring income. Good
Problem is Pochetinno has always liked to crowd the middle and get his width from fullbacks. He can't do that with the fullback options they have now because they're all average, bar Rose; whose old and might leave anyway.
I'm not as bothered too much by Dybala going there as such, it's more them moving in those circles that bother me. He's obviously a great talent, but I think he's also a lazy little shit that plays when he wants. I don't think he'll like England and the PL much at all either.
Come on Arsenal, start moving so we can all stop talking about Tottenham.
@lorddulaarsenal wrote:So not recurring income. Good
They made about as much revenue as us with he final run included for this past season, Dules. Another 60-80m for Eriksen will also go a long way. Should be enough to cover these players. The dangerous thing is that other players will see that both Ndombele and Dybala went there. That’s unfortunate
But Dybala would be a landmark signing for them. It's about the message it sends as much as his quality.
Dybala to Spurs is worrying to say the least. As is Ndombele.
Interesting that Arsenal and Spurs have been by far the most ambitious English teams in the transfer market this Summer. United have spent a shit load obviously but they have overpaid to the extreme.

One for Dules.
