Tottenham don't have anywhere near enough to get near Liveprool this season, in my opinion, let alone City. Nowhere near.
If they do get the three deals over the line today, and with Ndombele too, they will have pulled further away from Chelsea and United, but they'll also suffer from trying to build a new team. It will take them a good while to get it all working and have everyone settle into their roles.
Meanwhile Lloris is getting old and is getting dodgier and dodgier, Alderweireld refuses to sign a new contract; far from ideal, Vertonghen is 32 and on the wane, fullbacks are old and/or average (at best) and Eriksen will be a big loss later this month.
Exciting, talented signings, for sure, but also appear opportunistic and that, much like us in recent years, could resut in a poorly functioning team.
