I think it is trying to be sarcastic, but too much sarcasm has caused the post to OD.
Bang on.

Just some pants jizzing over the prospect of making a 32 year old David Luiz our marquee signing in the defence this summer; something that I'm sure a lot of people wish listed back in June too, with the trophy winning and prem experience and all.
jizzing.
I’m no fan of Luiz. But i’m even less a fan of Mustafi. If the choice is between Luiz, 50 mill on Rugani or another year of Mustafi, then im picking that mug David Luiz every time. This is the situation we’re in, isnt it?
Sell Iwobi get Zaha

If people were livid at the thought of binning Iwobi to potentially fix our defence i can’t imagine replacing him with Zaha would go down too well.

Yep, sounds like an accurate summary, and a sensible position to take up.
In Luiz's defence he was great in Conte's first season at Chelsea, but that's over two years ago. And he also played more like a midfield sweeper back then. It's just a bit hard to swallow that this is the kind of deal that is going to fix the leakiest defence we've had in 20+ years.

Generally the most anesthetically potent drug you can acquire on the street
The ideal scenario would be to sign Upamecano and leave Luiz looking like a mug at Chelsea (who can't buy a replacement) where he has fallen out with Lampard because of his little strike.

still holding out hope that this is the plan, and the luiz crap is just a way to get RB to blink
Klaus low it for a sec we're discussing which analgesic is the most appropriate at the moment
Feel free to pitch in with ideas from up norf
The way things are, i would go back and pay over the odds for Upamecano even if it meant giving up Iwobi.
We can not afford another season in Europa. Guys like Nelson and Aubameyang will have to man up and fill that wide left spot in the meantime
Any money spent on Luiz is just cash blown. It will never appreciate.
Guarian reporting Tierney deal is done.
Need to make one last major push for a top quality CB tomorrow, Luiz on loan is a bit meh but then again I'd rather him than Mustafi...
Tam do you think Tierney will join us?

All over Twitter now that it's done, he will be joining us. Being reported 5 year deal £75k a week
He’s reported to be travelling down south for a medical. That’ll defo happen

It’s not blown if he improves our defence and helps regain Champs league
Sky saying 8 milion for Luiz.
