Got the same impression about his pace, but his recovery pace is pretty strong. Acceleration might need some improving.
He reminds me of Monreal in his younger days.

I agree, and I had the same impression from watching Saliba. Not sure what to think about that, but it's probably a small concern considering that both of them are expected to be mainstays in the defence for the next decade or so. Hopefully they'll become a little more explosive with training.

Haven't watched a single Tierny video but watching Saliba that's exactly what I thought. Looks decently fast when he gets up and running but seemed quite slow on the turn and in his acceleration. Even his tackling, although the videos show him winning so many, seems a bit risky in that he uses his strength a bit too much which I'm worried he'll get called for fouls in the PL for pushing. A few of the barges I saw for me seemed like blatant fouls but weren't given for some reason.
we're too concerned with players being speed merchants. A good coach should be able to manage dealing with pace, and pace on attack is great but you don't need to have elite sprinter level pace. Martinelli seems pretty rapid anyway.
This guy really injured?
Yep. Really undergoing rehab
I'm more and more concerned over his injury record. Nothing to worry about?
Tierney, Saliba, Pepe. We are going to end up holding our nuts in 3 weeks aren’t we?

£25m bid made and set to be accepted is the latest.
This will get done
Might be used as a centreback in a three at times

Scottish sun: EXCLUSIVE: Arsenal make record-breaking £25m bid for Celtic star Kieran Tierney
Chris McLaughlin (BBC): #Arsenal back in for #Celtic defender Kieran Tierney. Latest offer understood to be in region of £25million.
Ornstein also retweeted this Chris McLaughin tweet.
Looking good this one.
Is the 25m amount not what Celtic did would be required right at the start. So we've negotiated hard to get the same price but with the risk is the transfer falling through if it goes like this.
We have changed personnel but our transfer tactics seem to be the same. Much like our change in management and our defense. We need to be doing better

Liverpool came to understand very quickly how to get things done. They did not repeat their mistake , paid up for Van Dyk and Allison.

First, you complain that we're not signing anyone. Then when we're about to sign someone, you complain about how we sign them. Anything the club does, you find something to complain about it.
There are plenty of people who are frustrated with things, in fact most of us are probably dissatisfied to a degree. But can you at least try to be in some way constructive rather than just mindlessly sniping?
