Hopefully he will be like Witsel's impact. Can't believe he has gone from a farmer league to one of the best CM in europe now.

Carrasco has been toying defenders for fun in China, he will need to adapt here.

The Perisic deal “sounds” more likely from what I’ve been reading though

Can't lie, I've wanted this guy for a while.

the last tweet from di marzio's team a couple of hours ago is that a perisic deal in the last 48 hours is unlikely verging on impossible. was there any recent updates?

Is it just me who gets a Bobby Pires vibe from Carrasco?

Wage demands of this guy will be too high for us.

I'd imagine Witsel would be on high wages too but dortmund signed him and they aren't a big payer or spender.

Sure and that's a nice thought, but once you introduce competition we nearly always lose out in these situations. Don't see this happening.

I can co-sign a loan for Suarez - 4 months to try a young AM. And Carrasco is a no regret move.
Should help our attack. Our team looks jaded, other than Ozil who just looks done (physically or mentally).

Isn't that one word?

Yes, but I'll be damned if I'm going to correct every mistake my Gboard makes.

Sky reporting that we're in talks to sign carrasco

I'd prefer him to perisic tbh

Would definitely prefer Carrasco. If nothing else he's a lovely player to watch. I wouldn't even mind making it permanent in the summer.

Kristof Terreur
Dalian Yifang want guarantees over a replacement for Yannick Carrasco. The Chinese club are open for a loan with option. Carrasco and family are unhappy in China. His camp say all options are still open: Inter or Arsenal? All is linked to Ivan Perisic’ future. #afc

Kristof Terreur is very reliable for Belgian football.

Negative sir. This was just the feeling I got from what I had been reading here days before today. Sounds like it’s off now.

Mkhitaryan is too good. Someone like Giroud or Walcott would’ve been great if we still had their rights. United should do us a solid and sell Fellaini to them

Meh, Suarez deal was off yesterday morning.

It's all a game of brinksmanship. It actually wouldn't surprise me if Carrrasco is a bluff by us to force Inter's hand with Perisic. The former would certainly command a larger wage and probably a bigger transfer fee should we choose to make it permanent.

I really hope not. Perisic deal is Gazidean thinking. Decorate the arena with legends and buy some old men with no resale value. I hope he didn’t leave a playbook for Vinai.

I don't know about Carrasco's salary. The fact that he wants to go home to Europe tells me he's realized that it's more satisfying to actually play football than play with amateurs and collect a paycheck. He's probably very aware that he won't make as much if he comes back to proper football.

Definitely want Carrasco over Perisic. Wanted him when he joined Atleti from Monaco, wanted him while at Atleti, want him now.

I can see why someone might be interested in Carrasco, but, for me, he's a show pony that lacks awareness where it matters and end product as a result.

I wouldn't be against a loan until the end of the season because there'd be no down side, but at this point there's no way I'd want to spend big money on him in the summer. And I'd take Perisic on loan over him for the rest of the season without a doubt.
