So Dein fucked us over by trying to repeat what he did with Fizsman?
For mind it has been the H-W legacy of non-investment that has been the far greater betrayal.

Take a look at PHWs shares over the years of our decline. He had very little to do with the decision making, he just loved mouthing off and trying to look important.

Dein was one of the principal engineers behind the Premier League too. He built the platform for the oligarchs and then he tried to bring them to us, one by one, to jack up the shares. He created a situation that he ended up profiting £75 million or so from. Nothing but a snake in the grass.

PHW had very little real influence.

PHW was the 3rd generation Chairman of the BoD up to his retirement after organising the sell out for Kroenke to gain control of the club.
He may not have been the majority shareholder by the time of Dein's departure but he held the control as part of his family legacy and their steadfast adherence to the self funding model.
It was the perfect example of being an old boys club and institutionalised thinking.

That still doesn't convince me - he had some influence, sure, but he wasn't directing where things needed to go.

back on according to di marzio. we've cooled the interest in perisic

Can't lie, prefer him to Perisic.

Same.

Carasco and Suarez, let the party begin!

Wage demands of this guy will be too high for us.

Would give us something to look forward to in the second half of the season with this guys and Suarez. Surprised we've gone cool on defenders.

Any chance we can recall Chambers for right back?

if he wants to come back to europe, he'll have to adjust his demands

Prefer him to Perisic, not overly excited though

I don’t mind to be honest. Kos should be good in a week or two, same as Sokratis. Unless we get a VVD level defender (which is tres unlikely), then what’s the point? A sieve is still a sieve. However, with good wingers we can, at least in theory, improve the quality and frequency of chances created for our forwards.

agreed on that, and pretty much what i've been saying since the summer. the attack hasn't been good enough, so hopefully these late deals will improve things on that front

Luke warm on this one.

Isn't that one word?

Pretty excited about him compared to Perisic, this guy is quality. Proper winger.

Think he has more to prove than Perisic too.

If he's not sold on Chinese mega wages, he'll likely be motivated to come back and re-establish himself.
