I think one season taken in isolation is typically not long enough to make a call on whether a manager should be sacked. Having had an additional summer where big decisions were made and the manager was backed, there have been some very negative indicators which further undermine his position. If the club were to have sacked him, I'd understand it without necessarily aggravating for it myself but he's made the decision for them.
