Well, this looked more or less like expected. Not a lot of memorable football but they're getting there, and I think the quality will improve proportional to the opposition. Sweden do have a much better team now than they did two years ago at the Euros. They're better tactically and more at ease on the ball. Guidetti and Kiese-Thelin might do something off the bench in the second half if there's still stalemate.
Group F (Germany, Mexico, Sweden, South Korea)
Berg had to score. Absolute sitter.
Think Sweden will win in the end, Korea just have 0 goal threat apart from Son.
Ryan Giggs has got to be the most boring pundit, or human, alive. How he kept his brothers wife's attention for 8 years I'll never know.
For all the industry Korea had early on, they dont look like scoring outside of a solo effort by Son or a lump to the huge 6'5" guy.. Sweden still look more likely to score and if Berg can actually find his shooting boots, this should have been 2-0 already

oh dear me.. Forsberg with a chance, but he skies it
good chance for Korea.. side netting
Thing I remember about s Korea is they run tirelessly all game
that may help them as Sweden invariably tires
wow.. another non penalty call.. VAR on this one
This is a penalty all day. Good call. I really like how VAR is used in this tournament.

this was 100% more clear cut than the first one.. didnt look like the korean got any of the ball
Granqvist being bossy after the South Koreans tried to mess with him.
VAR is great.
The VAR saves the day again. When used correctly I'm liking the system.
Ref quite instantly gave it after watching the VAR.
gronqvist! lol.. nicely taken
VAR is brilliant.

Yeah definitely. I saw someone in another thread criticise the VAR system, but I love when it's being used like this. It hardly disrupts the game any more than a serious foul does but it has the potential to correct match-defining moments. Zero downside to it so far in my book.
