Some people called him a one season wonder and too selfish on here. People are too quick with their judgments. I don't think he's world class yet, but he's a world class goal scorer for sure. Even assisted Son for their first.

Apparently he was only good enough in the premier league though.

I will take a prolific goal scorer any day of the week over a defensive striker. It's so hard to come by these days. Don't mind him taking shots from everywhere, he has good technique combined with short backlift which is pretty deadly.

😆

Spurs Dortmund highlights make it look quite open.

Pretty much expecting Spurs to get destroyed by the first big club they run into.

It's so depressing to not be in the CL, makes us feel so irrelevant.

Once Wenger was despised by the managers of huge clubs for his success, the respect he commanded and his equanimity.

Now he's despised by sacked mid table managers who envy and resent his ability to keep his job no matter how he performs—so far.

It's more depressing than ever because there are 5 English clubs in it and we are not one of them. The worst year not to be inside.

I thought Dortmund should have won yesteerday. 2 legit goals chalked off and Burki had a horrorshow.

Do we know this for sure? Where's that come from?

I don't really miss the champions league because we have been a joke just making up the numbers. We aren't considered as a credible threat by anybody and the competition only gets good and worthwhile in the knock out when we always exit. No point being in competitions you make no serious efforts to win.

Guess we should just withdraw from the league and liquidate the club then ¯_(ツ)_/¯

No, just spouting bullshit to be honest, sorry Tam. Pretty sure they warned you about me.

They didn’t need to Burnsy, your reputation precedes you.

I wasn’t sure if there were recent comments I was unaware of. As far as his standing within the game goes, I don’t doubt there is envy but I would be very surprised if there is any resentment at his continued employment from those within the game. I can’t see him getting much respect from the likes of Mourinho, Hughes and Pulis but I don’t think those who have admired him in the past would turn on him, certainly not in the way sections of our support have.

Haha, nicely done.

As a fan I don't care about merely being in the champions league, it's meaningless except to the money men. The competition only gets serious after the knock outs which is where we get found out. The group stage is a farce to try and get as many below par teams, of which I include us, involved in the fun before the actual competition begins.

What all due respect thats a load of shit. Maybe to you being in the most prestigious club competition means nothing if you aren't the one team that wins it but being it still matters to a lot of people beyond "the money men". I for one certainly missed being in it over the last 2 days and I feel no joy at all that we are in the fucking Europa league instead.

And sure why bother with the PL? If we dropped down to the Championship we'd have a much better chance of winning that.

It was. Spurs were out played but were far more clinical when they got their chances. And not in the way Spurs often play really well by containing teams and then catching them out, Dortmund squandered good chances throughout.

Dortmund were missing half their squad to injuries. Also they can't defend for shit, Bosz seems worse than Wenger in that respect. Still would've won if it weren't for refs fucking them over

Happy I skipped that game. If even here the nauseating "is Kane world class" debate reared its ugly mouthbreathing head again I don't want to imagine the furious wankfest competition commentators and pudits were having

Well, Jones, Kane is a beast. He got two half chances and buried them. I hope Lacazette can be 80% of what Kane has been for Spurs these last 3 seasons. Take away Kane, replace him with a Welbeck and/or Giroud, and Spurs drop 2-3 places in the league. He gives them that much lift. It's annoying to have to admit it, but he's quality, best English striker that I have seen since probably as far back as Shearer. (note, I didn't say he's as good as Shearer)

Fair enough that's your view, mine is simply being in it is not significant if it is we are no different to Qarabag, a team that no doubt is just happy to be there. If that's who we want to be fine but I don't give them any kudos for being in the champions league. It's the teams that seriously can win it that I care about and give credence to, not those who make up the numbers they are irrelevant and may as well not be there as they don't matter.

Well Michael Owen did win the Ballon D'Or, don't think Kanes capable of that.
