Thrashing some no mark team is okay, thrashing Celtic at home in the UCL? This is their biggest european home loss in history and they were unbeaten for like 40 over matches or something.

Those were the days. We struggled against Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos with the likes of Ozil.

As a team we used to be capable of some dazzling football even if we carried some average players and collapsed as soon as injuries struck. But we used to have a philosophy and stuck to it. We beat a peak Barcelona with Bendtner and Gibbs on the field, and for all our flaws we were the only team in England at the time that could have done it. Even the United fans willingly admitted it.

Nowadays there's no overarching design, no clear idea. I genuinely can't think of five games from the last two years where we looked like a brilliant football team. That's the one thing I won't forgive Wenger for. The rest of the stuff - titles, Champions League, big signings - is just icing on the cake. I don't think trophies is everything in football. If it was then the sport would be pointless to 99.9% of all people who watch it. I could live with supporting a flawed team that at least tried to entertain and dazzle me. But for the last 3-4 years I haven't had a clue about who we are supposed to be. We don't have an identity anymore.

Chelsea beat Barça a year later.

Sadly that's the truth. I don't get people who still say we play attractive football. Sure there might be sporadic moment of brilliance but we haven't been consistently playing beautiful football since 2008.

Whenever I am free to watch other teams play around Europe I realise how unattractive we are currently. So far away from Napoli.

Tried to watch the City game. They score in two minutes. Switch to the Spurs game. They score two minutes later. Meh. Good goal by Son.

Terrible by Dortmund keeper.

Oh Liverpool losing, maybe I'll watch that one.

What an awesome equaliser for Dortmund. Switch back to that game, Qs

Oof that's a beaut

Goodness. Kane scores a similar goal. Dortmund should sub their goalie now and save themselves similar wide goal embarrassment. 1-2

Burki is terrible

Dortmund really don't deserve this scoreline.

I really cannot stand Mcmanaman. Salah clearly trips Nzonzi before the goal but apparently there's nothing wrong with that.

Then again it's not quite as bad as Tony Gale suggesting Ederson should man up after Mane sliced his face open over the weekend.

Is this the same Correa that used to play for Atletico? The one who was supposed to be the next Aguero?

Ox must be learning loads off Klopp seeing as he spends most of the game sitting next to him.

Kane is annoyingly prolific a goalscorer.

Pochehchetino is another one we could have easily gotten to replace the Weng.

Just seen the scores. Can we say Kane is world class?

No, this one is Joaquin Correa, used to play in Italy before. Angel Correa is the one from Atletico.

Both are Argentinian though.

I will never. It's obviously subjective, but someone who takes blind shots anywhere near goal without any regard for team moves can not be seen as world class by me. His selfishness is probably hitherto unseen.

He's always looking for a shot, because he's confident in his shooting ability. He can be too selfish at times, but he's in that team to score the goals and that's what he's doing.

C. Ronaldo is/was quite often also accused of this. Pretty decent goalscorer as well, that bloke.

In the end, if you have the ability to put the ball in the net, why not do it? Spurs' coaching staff are obviously encouraging their players to take a shot whenever possible. They do an excellent job of getting on the end of scraps in the box.

Yes, all good. That wasn't the discussion. He's dong great for his team and great for him. Maybe if he keeps it up for another 2 years ten world class for me.
Ronaldo had other crazy skills too.

Yea, prolly shouldn't have said never.

Without a doubt for me.
