Messi finally gets past buffon.
The one we ain't playing 2017/18
Messi booked for waving days he invisible card
Another one for messi. Two players ahead of him, just goes sideways to find space and then beats buffon. Doesn't even make it look difficult.
Watching Neymar waste multiple easy chances. Got tired of Barca. Bad enough not being in this competition. Do not need to see Barca beating up on anyone, not even the corrupt Old lady.
So you watched PSG beat up Celtic? :brow:
I have no personal issues with PSG. Football is full of corrupt teams, but I have a special loathing for Barca given the direct disrespect they have shown this club in recent years. Probably them and then Pool. Mourinho gets honorable mention.
In fairness I thought they'd lose or draw tonight - oh well, just have to wait till the summer when Messi leaves on a free!
That Cavani header was utterly ridiculous. World class striker.
On his day.
This MNC attack will take some stopping. Let's see how Lyon deal with them this weekend.
The discrepancy between the big and the small teams in UCL is getting ridiculous. Thrashings everywhere.
So we play a team from Germany and Chelsea play two days earlier against a side from Azerbaijan and are able to rest all their players. Wonderful.

It's been like this for a while. And we've been on the wrong side of the divide as well.
We used to trash small teams 7-0 while starting with the likes of Bendtner. It's always been like this.
You can go back to 2001 and see a load of thrashings at this stage. Yesterday a load of the big teams just happen to be playing the weaker sides at the same time.
Thrashing some no mark team is okay, thrashing Celtic at home in the UCL? This is their biggest european home loss in history and they were unbeaten for like 40 over matches or something.

Those were the days. We struggled against Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos with the likes of Ozil.
Celtic are no less a minnow that anyone else. Whatever their home record, you can't be that surprised that a team who lose to the likes of Lincon Red Imps and Astana on a regular basis and got thumped 7-0 by Barcelona last year got trounced by PSG.

As a team we used to be capable of some dazzling football even if we carried some average players and collapsed as soon as injuries struck. But we used to have a philosophy and stuck to it. We beat a peak Barcelona with Bendtner and Gibbs on the field, and for all our flaws we were the only team in England at the time that could have done it. Even the United fans willingly admitted it.
Nowadays there's no overarching design, no clear idea. I genuinely can't think of five games from the last two years where we looked like a brilliant football team. That's the one thing I won't forgive Wenger for. The rest of the stuff - titles, Champions League, big signings - is just icing on the cake. I don't think trophies is everything in football. If it was then the sport would be pointless to 99.9% of all people who watch it. I could live with supporting a flawed team that at least tried to entertain and dazzle me. But for the last 3-4 years I haven't had a clue about who we are supposed to be. We don't have an identity anymore.
Oh for the days when we had a ticket.
Now,
Who is that in the top right of the picture, peeping in the door?
The Wengs/us
