I know he's become a joke lately but Rooney was exceptional from around 2007 - 2012. He wasn't as clinical as Kane (given that he was often behind RvN and Ronaldo early on) is but his overall game was at a higher level.

Rooney is one of the most disgusting players I've ever seen, but in his prime he had more talent in the excess weight he dragged around than Kane has in his entire body.

Is that really true though? He certainly hasn't taken care of his body but he has played what, 16 years of professional football? There wouldn't have been a lot in him left either way

Rooney had significantly more raw talent than Kane and also Shearer.

Shearer's great gifts were longevity and doing a few difficult things—particularly making runs—incredibly well.

Most would hate to admit it, but his goalscoring record is pretty sick at the ratio he is currently going and he is only 24. Only Shearer has taken less apps to reach 80 goals in the league and at his current ratio only Messi, Real Ronaldo and RVN can better it.

Real Ronaldo as in Real Madrid Ronaldo or the OG Ronaldo.

Also didn't Henry have the best goalscoring ratio out of everyone who's scored who's scored more than 10 goals in the league bar Aguero? I know he was deffo ahead of Horseface.

That Dortmund 'keeper is proper shit. Worse than Almunia at defending his near post. Amateur level.

Must be so frustrating for their fans. They're playing some decent stuff in general, but in both games against Spurs and Real, they've been undone by some poor defensive/goalkeeping errors.

Besiktas have been really impressive this campaign. Don't think anyone would've expected them to top their group, thoroughly dominant performances vs both Leipzig and Porto

Also cue the "Harry Kane is world class" posts in this thread after scoring a hat trick vs part time plumbers/accountants in a tax haven
