I predicted 4th but as always it's better to predict after 10 games to see how we handle different types of games. Premium, mid table, fodder, home, away etc.

The best is predicting after 37 games; that way you usually get phenomenal accuracy.

Feel there's a pretty substantial chance we finally drop out of the top four, but looking just at the quality of the squads, we're definitely within the four most talented. So I think we'll squeak it over Spurs/Liverpool in the last few weeks of the season

😆
You went there!
I did not respond as there was no way of avoiding a sarcastic answer.

The trick is to not avoid sarcasm, but to embrace it.

Third. Think City will win it and we'll probably fuck up sufficiently for Chelsea or Man U to overtake us as well.

i have very little respect for the quality of the premier league these days and the quality of talent that is brought in, so in my mind there is no reason we can't win this shit show. if we don't it's because wenger is a shitty manager.

If City don't win, is it because Peps a shitty manager? Or what about Conte or Mourinho? All managers with pedigrees up to their ears and expensively assembled squads.

their squads might be expensive, but i don't think they are all that great. wouldn't surprise me if tottenumb won this league. and mourinho proved he was overrated last season. they all rely on stacked squads relative to their competition. none of them are a simeone type who does more with less.

and wenger conclusively proved he was a shitty manager last season. my wording was poor in my previous post. it made it seem like not winning the league this season would make him a shitty manager. he's already that.

Unless you expect us to do a leicester, we will finish below the manchester clubs whose squads relegate ours to the 3rd-7th group.

United's squad isn't any better than ours

there's still the overarching wengery-ness to factor in. who knows what unforseen tactical afflictions will plague the current squad. we could go back to the old days and start sucking at defending set-pieces, or players we rely on will just perform inexplicably poorly ala theo last season or ramsey in the last 24 months

I think we are in real danger of missing out on the top 4 this season. Chelsea and City look powerful and I think United will squeeze in. Toss between us, Tottenham and Liverpool. I'm less worried about Spurs and it will be interesting to see how Liverpool evolve with no European football.

4 days later

Odds on Skybet right now

Manchester City 10/11 Manchester Utd 9/2
Chelsea 5/1 Liverpool 10/1
Arsenal 12/1 Tottenham 16/1
Everton 80/1 Leicester 150/1
Crystal Palace 1000/1 West Ham 1000/1

We are 5th. Behind Liverpool in their expectations. If you're one of the believers, now would be a good time to put down 50 quid.

That would be a waste of money and emotions.
