Seems the rumours that everyone was fed up with him in the dressing room were true.
Either way, getting over Alexis is gonna be one of the easiest things we've done. Özil was, and remains, the one we absolutely can't lose.

Even if they did actually care about him, it’s not a good look. Player leaves for your bitter rival and you wish him all the best. You would get caught up in the storm as well like Henry. My previous post was basically fake Twitter style rage - people won’t care about facts, etc. if, eg Wilshere wishes Sanchez well, he risks being on the end of a Twitter storm from people accusing him of not having the club’s best interests at heart. Better off staying quiet
Exactly. It's just PR to not be wishing our hated rivals well.

Doesn't he literally deny that?
He does. What I don't understand is when did Alexis claim that Henry told him to leave?
He never directly did, but it's not exactly a difficult inference to make when he makes the statement that he spoke to Henry about why he left for Barcelona and that he has now decided to leave for similar reasons. Btw, folks on twitter seem extremely confident that Ozil has signed a new contract and an announcement is forthcoming after the transfer window closes.
Who are these folks on twitter BWooley?
That would be huuuuuge.

A goodbye without a farewell message could do. There was too much noise about the friction with Sanchez for there not to be any truth in it. Now players don't have to get along but feels like Sanchez had no one on his side.
Smile on your brother....

Exactly. So much is read into this social media shite, its pathetic.
Na, these guys are all friends. You can wish some well or say it was a pleasure playing with them without saying anything that'll piss people off too much.
There was definitely an issue there. Hopefully it makes a difference to results on the pitch.
Clear as day they didn’t like Sanchez. Why would you? He’s clearly a dickhead
They probaby figured he was taking the piss after that game against United where he lost possession 34 times. Which I'm sure he was. He wasn't in great form this season, but some of the performances he has put in were clearly sabotage just to get the club to sell him early.
Let's stop talking about that prick now anyway.
Ozil, please sign.

Oh FFS. He's gone, he's at United now so fuck him he can break a leg for all I care but just stop with the bullshit. No one would be accusing him of sabotage or claiming he was past it if he'd signed a new deal this week. He's been mediocre this season, not terrible, mediocre, probably better than half the squad. Some good games, some terrible games, still 2nd top scorer.
Quite a few were saying he had lost a yard last season to be fair. He's clearly not the same player he was 18 months ago, when he was hands down the best player in the League.

Yup. Won't revisit history, he has been a great player for us, he has been poor since he haven't signed a new contract and he should be hated for those unclassy comments after leaving.
We’ll become more free scoring now he’s gone
If we get Aubameyang we might. If we don't we'll really struggle for goals.

He was taking the piss in those games mate, and he refused to play for us early on too after the move to City fell through. He's mostly been absent or on the bench ever since the transfer window opened. I think he's been behaving like a horrid piece of work all season; his teammates seem to agree, and while I would have been willing to let it slide if he'd signed a new deal there's literally no reason to do him that courtesy now. He's just yet another unprofessional, petulant little shit. He's not the first and and he won't be the last.
