Just wonderful. Chambers and Holding again vs. Mahrez, Vardy and Musa?
nah we'll rush kos back and he'll do a hamstring

Wenger's dad should have pulled out.
Maybe the club should start a GoFundMe. The poor buggers can't be expected to dip too far into those cash reserves!
Maybe Wenger should do a Radiohead and allow fans to decide how much he should be paid for his labours.

Galatasaray did this, with big billboards and a text to give 5e to the club. The fans actually did. Then the club was bought by a super rich bloke so the fans were peeved they gave away their money.
Not that his opinion means much, but Balague has chimed in with this:

Mustafi: VFC happy 2 sell for around €30m as they down €10m with FFP. But would rather sell others. AFC want him. Not sure he's good enuf
at this point i dont even care about this transfer. he seems solid, but hes not world class. on the plus side, he would mean that we wont have to see much of gabriel, and that is certainly a good thing.
€30m isn't that much in this day and age. Gabriel type risks just aren't good enough. Get this shit done.
Mustafi is already good enough to easily be our second best CB behind Kos. He is also 24 years old, but already with a lot of top level experience. For me, this is exactly the type of profile we need right now; a player ready to go right into our first XI, and also with potential to develop further. If the alternative is another gamble on a player to 'step up', then I fail to see the point of such a signing. May as well give that playing time to Chambers and Holding, because they seem equally likely to be able to step up.
Worst case scenario he turns out to be nothing more than a solid upper half of the table defender in Premier League and we'll use him to stabilise the ship a bit before trying to sell him again in a year or two to recuperate 10-15 million of the transfer fee. Best case scenario he becomes the new hub in our defence when Kos slows down.
Either scenario is easily worth €30 million at this stage of the transfer window.
Maybe it's just me being naive but I'm convinced this is just both sides posturing. There's no way we leak news about Mustafi unless we're confident of getting it done.
Just close the deal you bunch of muppets

No time to posture or faff about from Arsenal's side.
you guys realize we're gonna end up with fonte or kjaer, and not mustafi, right?
Eh, Fonte is a very good defender.
I wouldn't mind Toprak either, bit inconsistent but on his day he's very good. Would command the same fee as Mustafi though and I'd definitely rather have the latter

There's always next year...
Just sign a top centreback - don't dick about with guys like Toprak and Kjaer.
Wenger used to bang on about only adding super quality - he doesn't do it often
Fonte would be an excellent addition, in fact. He's as solid as they come. Would love to sign him in addition of Mustafi, not instead though.
getting fonte instead of gabriel would've been smarter. but there is the mendes factor, and he's now 32. seems like a maureen squad signing
