I'm pretty sure that Wenger is sitting around waiting for a big club to toss some players into the scrap heap. Unfortunately, there are no compelling buys for Real, Barca and Bayer this season; and Wenger has watched idly as Higuain and Zlatan moved cities.
I think he'll end up picking some properly second rate nonsense such as Johnny Evans and some of the discarded United players that Moyes doesn't mop up.

Until the last game we had gabriel, kos(available in a week) chambers and holding as back up. That 4 options. Since Gabriels injury we've gone to sign a top quality replacement.

Cannon was arguing there was no reason we couldn't conclude this deal quickly I just said these things take time. And they do otherwise the transfer window would only be 72 hours or so.

Things take time when you have time. We don't. We should have sped things up by being a bit more flexible in negotiations.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter who we buy, Wenger won't be able to turn them into a proper team.

exactly this.

Wenger is probably waiting for the end of August to give mikael silvestre another call. Or perhaps sol fancies another go?

Supposedly Mustafi has pulled out and the transfer is off. 😆

Wenger needs to pull out of his job quick.

Must have watched the game yesterday

Sky reporting that the deal is close, £28m.

Source?

Twitter I'm guessing.

Yeah its the twitter horse/flavour of the month twitter ITK.

Complete nonsense.

Yeah from Horse. Take it with a pinch of salt.

Horse said that the medical we had booked for this week was cancelled, not that it was Mustafi.

do you think any other large clubs around the world allow their manager to set the price of players and dictate transfers the way arsenal does? its fucking hilarious.

gazidis should demand a list of 3 players in each position that need strengthening at the beginning of the transfer window and then we should negotiate and get the best deal for one of the 3 players and be done with it.

also, the likely scenario here is a club like everton overpaying for abdennour and then valencia determining they dont need to sell mustafi.

Abdennour and Mustafi were supposedly training separately from the team the whole pre-season and both were always supposed to be sold.

Ornstein says fee is the problem as we don't have "money" to complete both this and our mega striker deal. Info definitely fed by club.

Omer Toprak and Kjaer is our backup plan. Are we in 2010?

Really? Where did the money from last season go when we spent about 15m all season.

Club being cheapskates again while fleecing fans. Bunch of cunts.
