Will they do it?

I just watched Blackpool surrender a seemingly cushy two goal half-time lead to them. Their belief keeps growing with these results, but how long can they afford to keep going behind and relying on the likes of Nani to dig them out of the shit? They are poor large periods of matches, particularly away. But they are capable of these 20-30 minute spells where they make every attack count. They could've had about 5 goals in 20 minutes today. They did the same at Villa park. No team outside the top four has an answer when they do that, which is why I think it'll come down to the games at Emirates and the Bridge. The Scholes, Anderson, Fletcher axis will get dominated by the us, City, and Chelsea, but they've had an average central midfield for years now and still won things.

A month ago Id've said no chance, but now I'm starting to waver a tad. The cnuts just refuse to be beaten.

Fucking hope they don't, be fucking horrible.

They won't, in fact I think they'll lose before our game.

I didn't watch any of the game today but i am not surprised. They are a very good team, not a great team but they are slugging it out every game and coming out on top.

They have a few tough away fixtures but i am very anxious, almost afraid of the prospect of them going unbeaten this season.

I'd still have them at quite long odds against doing it.

I don't think they'll lose at home and they have to come to the Emirates, go to Chelsea and Liverpool. I think it is a distinct possibility or may be i am fretting too much.

We'll stop them at the Grove if they still haven't lost by then.

They still have to play Chelsea twice and us and City which might provide a banana skin.

I think city and Chelsea will out power them. United rely on harrassing teams, those two won't be pushed around, and I'm hoping drogba or dzeko can do the damage

that or nasri will do em

You're looking at it the wrong way. This was supposed to be an easy win for them, it was 3 points in the bank before the game started, yet they went 2-0 down and needed an 88th min goal to win.

Every away game looks tricky given their form and Chelsea are capable of doing them at Old Trafford. 15 games is still a lot and 8 of them are away from home. With CL to come back and FA cup commitments, I'd bet on them losing a couple of league games.

From an austere technical view, yes that's true. Make no mistake Blackpool's defending for the 2nd and 3rd was horrendous - you wouldn't see fullbacks past halfway if it was Arsenal they were defending against. i'm more concerned about the belief it will give them. I do think their first loss land a psycological blow that will last about a few matches at least. They're setting themselves up for a hard fall, but right now their belief must be sky high.

Indeed, getting knocked out of the CL won't do wonders for their confidence, bad things usually happen in 3's.

IF we get knocked out of the CL by Barcelona I really hope Utd draw them. That'll throw them off kilter a bit.

Belief and confidence certainly does go a long way, but ultimately it's quality that counts.

So you think thats been our problem Otf?

I don't think they'll do it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

Will give our game against them even more edge of they are still unbeaten by the time that fixture comes around.

best mediocre team ever.

I hate them so much.
When I heard the halftime score i threw the match on. It was Giggs that was the key to their comeback today. How much longer will that work?
Still, can't see them going undefeated.
2 matches vs. Cheatski, A match against citeh and one against us too.
Plus they have been playing pretty horrible away from home.
Amazing that they've made it this far. Testament to the SAF iron will and cult of personality.
