What about if you've got another friend who's browsing about just ahead of the last 2 shoppers but who's not actually looking in your direction and is not available to catch the shoes?
Is she interfering?

Were you regretful after being dumped.
I wasn't really, thought if she couldn't take a joke then it was no real loss. Though looking back, I probably should have got her a real girf too

Wait wait wait you're confusing me.....
Malcolm Sex wrote:Klaus wrote:What did they say about Walcott?
Load of old guff about him not being intelligent
That really ticks me off. Not being great technically does not equal being stupid.
It's funny how Walcott has managed to grab a starting spot at Arsenal despite being so dumb while those two Einsteins has managed to get suspended from Sky Sports for not realising how to turn their microphones off.
I'm not one for political correctness at all, I think alot of it is completely ridiculous, but I really do feel for the lineswoman here.
I wouldn't say it's bang out of order to say some of what they said, because, frankly, that's just how blokes talk most of the time, especially when Gray and whoever that other moron is were pitch side and were basically calling her a minger. Horrible to hear, sure, but that's blokes for you, and there are very few blokes out there who could criticise that behaviour from a position of never having done it themselves - I know I can't. But to broadcast it and then subsequently reproduce it everywhere in the news, is irresponsible and not on, and is not fair on the poor lady who's worked bloody hard to get to where she has. What chance does she have now of forging a top level career for herself? She'll forever be that lineswoman who Andy Gray thinks is ugly (and incompetent!).
Sky as an organisation should get on bended knee and apologise to her.
Meh, refs have been shit for years, male or female; it makes no difference. If she passes the fitness criteria then it's fine because some of the assistant refs do struggle to get up and down the line quick enough.
The biggest irony is that it is Gray, Keys and other assorted pundits, ex-players etc. that don't know the rules half of the time.
No sympathy for either of them. I can't see myself saying the same things or being such a fucking idiot to be honest.
To the extent that I'm a sexist pig I still wouldn't claim a professional lineswoman didn't know the offside rule. There's little more loathsome in this world than the veteran sports commentator, so many of them are aggressive, self-serving know-nothings with Emeritus disease, whether it's Andy Gray or Geoff Boycott they're not shining emblems of humanity.
So what's the verdict on this lino chick then?
Don't fink I would ya know, maybe with ricky 1986's but not my very own
Captain wrote:The biggest irony is that it is Gray, Keys and other assorted pundits, ex-players etc. that don't know the rules half of the time.
True enough.....
Malcolm Sex wrote:So what's the verdict on this lino chick then?
Well she's not my cup of tea, a bit skinny needs more curves, but as I said the lass done alright, at least she understands the rules not like that dumb robot in our game who raised his flag every time we crossed the half way line.
Yup she needs a bloomin good square meal
oh yeah, that ref in sat was ridics
Remarkably few would choose Andy Gray over her as either lover or linesperson, you'd have to think.
Women don't understand the offside rule. Fact!
I'm not a fan of female officials in an all-male game, but when you decide to give one of them stick it would be good idea to wait till she has done something wrong first. She made the correct decision.
Just been announced, Andy Gray has been sacked. Apparently he was already on a warning for something that happened off-air in December. No news on Richard Keys yet, but the fact that he rang and personally apologised to the lineswoman, means he'll probably be kept on - and he wasn't involved in the December issue either.
That's a great lesson in how to piss £2m a year up the wall. What an idiot.
If he was on a warning before then fair play.
But as a sports pundit and commentator I quite liked Andy Gray. Preferred him to anyone else.
bloody ridiculous this

she should have tucked it in for him
pc gone mad - i blame women and jonny foreigner
ridiculous. gray and keys said nothing wrong.
Isn't Gray currently suing News International?
Owned by Murdoch....
One possible reason for the release of the poor quality audio that stitched him up?
The excuse Sky were looking for to sack him?
Conspiracy?!
He should look into suing them for unfair dismissal.
Tim wrote:Women don't understand the offside rule. Fact!
women, with very few exceptions, don't understand football.
Sky was between a rock and a hard place: do nothing, they get labeled sexist by people on the left.
At the end of the day, I think it's unfair that Gray got the sack for this. He technically made those comments off air, so technically none of this should have been made public. It's one thing if his remarks were made during the match, when he's officially representing sky. But at the end of the day, you know damn well that SCORES of sky employees have made similar comments off-air.
You know too that scores of employees across the land wouldn't make it to lunch time if someone overhearing and taking offence at someone else's PRIVATE conversation constituted a sackable offence.
We were talking about that today at work and we figured most of us wouldn't make it to 10 am.
I'm more shocked over the fact that Sky have been paying Andy Gray £2 million a year for a job a potty-trained monkey could do better, if what Captain said is true.

Tee hee- Looks like Gurgen is giving you some stiff competition for funniest guy on the forum Malcolm.....
God I hope they don't ask Arsh's opinion on this
Hi Andrey! You know I love football! And mostly because of you, I want to really thank you for that. But the problem is that I’m a girl, but I really love to play. A lot of people say that it’s a men's game. What shall I do? After all, I want to do it professionally. What do you think about girls playing football?
Arshavin: When girls like football, I think it’s ok. But I think that the level of women's football is too low to take it seriously.
Andrey, what do you think about smoking. Do you smoke? If not, have you ever tried to?
Thank you and good luck!
Arshavin: When I was 15 or 16 years old I tried it. I do not smoke and I don’t approve of smoking especially by women.
I’ve already written you three letters but they haven’t been delivered...Well ... My name is Olga, I’m 13 years old. I go out for football and I’m your biggest fan..... Well, my dad does not allow me to play football but I want to…- Andrey, tell me what to do?
Arshavin: Listen to your Dad.

Don't really buy that argument.
Real private conversations don't get captured on camera and broadcast to an audience of millions. There are plenty of situations in the workplace where a "private" comment like that could get you sacked. Email notifications popping up during management presentations saying "Farkin hell Boss X is a jobsworth cunt", or leaving the lapel mike on when you retire to the front row of the mind-bendingly boring technical conference. You just have to not fuck up.
The real double standard is the amount this oaf was getting paid.
i agree with burnwinter, they were stupid and exercised poor judgment. yea, it's the kind of banter that guys engage in all the time, but we do it down the pub or at lunch with friends, not at work with a microphone on.
gotta love the arshavin q&a, though.
I don't know if this one's been posted, but here's footage of Keys asking Redknapp a slightly risque question:
Meh. They're just talking like men. No problem with that.
As for complaining that the assistant referee was a woman, well, she went out and did a job and showed them to be ignorant. I don't think the comments themselves are worth firing these guys for, but the excessive publicity arising from them surely left Sky in a position where it had to respond with a firing.
I think Sky have really bungled this and I reckon Gray has a good case in the courts; which apparently he is looking into. I imagine Keys is lawyering up too.
Gray's an oaf, but he wasn't fired following a sexual harrassment complaint (by the looks of it), he was fired for PR reasons. The anonymous releasing of these clips is quite sinister and it makes it look like someone at Sky is rail-roading him out of the place. If people at Sky had genuine sexual harrassment concerns they should have filed grievances and it should have been dealt with privately. A public trial by television is embarrassing, ridiculous (check out forums with people micro-analysing screen grabs of the clips), and unjust.
Pepe, I sypmathise with Sky. They probably had a sit down with their marketing and legal folk and decided the noise wasn't worth it. By taking action, they hope to reduce all the negative publicity, and then they can deal quietly with whatever legal proceedings may arise from the firings.
They might also have hoped that the public roasting is so intense that Gray would be nervous about legal action / public war against Sky because activists / media could spin this to suggest that he is unrepentant about his comments.
Skysports needs some fresh blood anyway; just hope to god that they don't consider promoting Redknapp any further and everyone is a winner.
Keys comes across as a complete dickhead in that clip. He sounds like he's making an effort to fit in with the others, doesn't appear natural at all.

Easy there Andy.
Just focus on finding a new job now.
Ruud on his phone.

Exactly what I thought.
Lukazan wrote:Ruud on his phone.
Not interested in the slightest.
Keys has gone now. Fresh start for Sky, which could be a good thing.
They've really pissed someone off at Sky, huh? Embarrassing comments, but i have to agree with Pepe's last paragraph.
Just hope Redknapp doesn't get anymore air time, which i can see happening.
