As much as I would love to get Mahrez, this isn't happening. Don't think a winger has ever been on the cards... Wenger has too many project/crocks that need to be given minutes. Walcott, Ox, Ramsey, Jack, Iwobi will all be used on the right wing. No room for an actual proper winger.

Unfortunately I think you're right. Players like Jeff and Willock are also knocking on the door.

Joel Campbell too but I can see him leaving.

He answered "Yes, we look at everyone" When asked if he was specifically watching Mahrez.

For the first time since the rumours begun I'm starting to think there is something in this.

Wenger's face don't mean shit anymore. He's just a troll.

Yeah, typically.

A fan chasing down wenger on a bike and asking him to sign Mahrez.

Embarrassing. Reminds me of the Schneiderlin one.

I know, but what about the fan?

Who the fuck is Olly Mehrz and why does the fan want us to sign him?

the mahrez links seem legit, to be honest. id imagine leicester will require top dollar for him, so we probably shouldnt waste time with bargain offers, and they are are probably still steamed that we triggered vardy's release clause and forced them to give him a new deal.

id say he'll cost at least £40m.

given how awful our options are at RW, id say hes a must. its pretty clear we're not getting a world class striker, so if we can at least add someone decent who can sort of push giroud, then i think a front 4 of ozil, alexis, mahrez and giroud would get us a decent amount of goals. of course we still need a central defender and a backup RB.

i predict we're going to be cursing and yelling on deadline day, just like always.

I agree MD. Funny to see that this thread is so short.

More about our complete and utter depression re transfers and how we just don't want to enter into yet another let down.

I think PPL here really want this guy, more than any strikers we are linked to. I am one of them.

This is one of the best players in the league. Of course people would want him. But we live in a Wenger wunderland, so we know that hope is the fastest route to insanity.

I do want him but it's a concern that he couldn't finish games when he only had one game every seven days.

There is go much running involved playing out wide these days.

Everyone wants him, but I have zero faith in our ability to attract top players these days.

I assume the lack of action in here is because it's still not being widely reported in the UK media.

That's why we have Iwobi, Chamberlain and Walcott. They can come in for garbage time after a top winger has put the hurt on opponents

Define top players..
Then explain what what that is based on exactly?

If we can get back to the Invincible days where we finished games off in the first half, we wouldn't "need" him to finish games..   Start, create or score a couple goals, then sub him off for one of the other players..  see how easy that was?

...............if only

I know you are only half serious, at most, but the league is much tougher these days; it is rare in the last few seasons to watch games that are done and dusted after 60 minutes.

Yes, half serious..

but think about this..   why is the league "tougher" these days?    perhaps its because our team cant put away the lesser teams early and we actually MAKE it harder on ourselves.

I know its more unrealistic these days, but we need someone else who is creative as fuck on the right side to go with Ozil and Sanchez and (whoever else is up front)..  opportunities could come from either side at any time.

Eh
