We actually haven't seen Sandor die so Martin left his options open- He does that a lot.
But the timeline is a bit fucked up, the Freys threatened to hang Edmure a long time before this point in the books.
Game of thrones thread (spoilers)
They're probably going for a more fast-paced approach than earlier.
The hound is back
And Asha is a rug muncher.
Great contrast in the Arya-Hound stories. Will be interesting to see who Sansa has written. If it is a plea to Littlefinger, would like to see his conditions. Finally, loved the exchange between Cersei and the Queen of Thprms. Cersei should recognize defeat and split while she can.
Did anyone notice Neill from the young ones as Lord Glover who Sansa and Jon appealed for help to?
They should have known not to expect anything from a fucking boring hippy.
The Blackfish is a boss.
Shit, is that who that was Biggs? Thought I recognised him. Quite a good little role, better than Ian McShane's all too brief Jesus-among-the-villein.
Bit of a disjointed episode, a few things happening here and there but no real progress. Jamie and Bronn are a funny double act still.
I reckon McShane would have made a great Crow's Eye.
Not much progress, seems like it's slowed down in the last few after a fairly pacey start.
At least we saw more of the old Jamie.

It was Percy from Black Adder (Tim McInnery, not Nigel Planner)
was the letter that was sent to Jon by Ramsay actually sent by Littlefinger?

Potentially. Would be great if it was him.
I'm surprised that people think things are moving slowly right now. There is a lot of activity in the North. Sansa and Jon covered hundreds of miles begging for soldiers; multiple armies are getting ready for war at the Blackfish's and Winterfell. Arya's story is actually going somewhere. The islanders are about to set off to find the Dragon lady. I'm very happy with the pacing. Only complaint was that this episode felt a bit choppy, and the themes were not coming together clearly. You could perhaps talk about people being on the cusp of reclaiming who they were / had (Reek, Arya, Sansa, Hound, etc.,) but not even that was not entirely consistent as many other characters are hurtling into an unnerving unknown (Queen of Thorns, Cersei, maybe even Jamie).

Wow, that'd be a great little twist.

I think you are right Scooner.
Another dipshit.
Re the letter, yes it is Littlefinger playing Sansa like a musical instrument.
Surprised no one mentioned the waif using Arya as a pin cushion, but it was very unprofessional of her not to make sure the job was done.
CleganeBowl edges ever closer 8)

Ah, that's who it was. I just had a bell of recognition go off but yeah, makes sense.
I thought it was Percy then changed my mind. Thanks for the confirmation. Another slow episode. They really could have merged the previous season and this one into one season.
There really had better be a bloody big battle or two soon. Apparently episode 9 is called Battle of the Bastards, which should be Jon v Ramsay?
From the preview it looks like at least something will happen in the next episode.
