Meh. She is just a shit Shakira.

Oh, and while Dany's speech at the end was pretty pointless, I enjoyed it. I like Dany when she's channelling her old man. I like her less when she's acting like a normal person.

Yeah, she's fun when she's in conquering mode. Her trying to rule last season wasn't much fun.

Another mediocre episode. I enjoyed the bit at King's Landing but that was it. Dany, Arya, Sam can all fuck off.

And can someone explain why people are so excited about Benjen Stark? That whole bit bored me too.

I think it's mostly because people have been theorised for years that he was this mysterious guy, Coldhands, who showed up north of the wall in the books, looked like a wight and was clearly dead (Bran's direwolf reacted to the smell from his hands), but at the same time he wasn't one of the White Walkers' resurrected drones. He's the one who kills the first walker with a dragonglass dagger, not Sam. He also helps Bran to get to the three-eyed raven. He refused to show his face. Martin is supposed to have said that Coldhands wasn't Benjen Stark, but they've obviously fused the two characters on the show.

He was supposed to ride a big fucking elk though. I wanted more elk in Game of Thrones. It really would have tied the episode together.

Do you miss the elk when you travel abroad Klaus?

Cool episode.

I fear that cleganebowl is in jeopardy... The mountain will be cersei's champion and Tommen will represent the faith. Cersei will go mad after watching tommen get squished and she'll burn king's landing.

I also reckon that arya hasn't failed her training, she'll kill the waif and finally become a faceless man.

no way that happens, but my word that would be hilarious

That would be insane. I can't really see it happening either, but I do suspect Cersei's confidence in Gregor Clegane will be undone somehow.

It will be Ser Loras going up against the Mountain.

Jens has it spot on, I think. They never really built up Loras on the show but he was a very skilled tourney knight in the books. He has a minor history with Gregor too, and the Mountain doesn't strike me as someone who forgets small injustices.

Speculation built on a book spoiler:

The way I see it this is a way to catch Ser Loras up to where we left him in the books. Even though he is fighting the Mountain instead of charging the gates of Dragonstone, his plight would be the same, gravely injured and clinging on to life, but looked upon as a hero by the common folk. To make this theory work he would of course have to win the duel, yet suffer terrible damage doing so, much like when The Mountain fought Oberyn. I don't know if they would go down that exact road again, but it would make sense to me.

It has to be Cleganebowl surely. Anything else would be a huge letdown.

Anyone that remembers Brienne's chapter on the Quiet Isle and "The Gravedigger" must agree.

You said it " tourney knight"- Jousting, don't remember him being much good on foot in combat- He's a bit like Ozil, very skilful and entertaining but not a great finisher.
And I don't think the Mountain remembers anything at all because since his brain has been washed of the poison.

Also hasn't been mentioned but Jamie and Brienne are on a collision course at Riverrun.

If there is a Cleganebowl it'll be a farce. A shark jumping moment if we are not already past that.

Didn't the hound die or was it one of those where they didn't actually show him dead? I don't remember thinking there's a chance he could still be alive.

I can't see Jens' spoiler on my phone so apologies if he/she touches on this before me, but I think we will get both a trial by combat not featuring the hound, as well as a fight between the victorious Gregor and Sandor later in the series. Sandor will very likely be back in my opinion

Great with a lance/spear though, which is what did the big fecker in last time around when he faced Oberyn.

In the books Sandor apparently died from festering wounds which he refused to have treated by fire, monks found him and cared for him at the end.
But of course we only have the word of the head monk and his hound helmet as evidence.
Many suspect he renounced his former life recovered and joined the monks.

Well, yes, in the books it's pretty clearly hinted Sandor is alive. But I think it's pretty safe to say at this point that Lady Stoneheart will not be appearing in the show, despite her return in the books. So what happens in the show is uncertain
