True, but I look at the teams we turned out last season and I think the argument's legitimate.

We're still talking about fielding Jack Wilshere on the right, a guy who scores once in every twenty league appearances, because we don't have a forward who's made the position his own.

I'd take Andre Schurrle if Mkhitaryan is off the market.

God no, can't stand him personally. Painfully average in everything he does. Think he's playing at the right sort of level for his ability in my view.

I think G89 is trolling. He can't be serious.

Typical Giroud apologist reactions.

this jabroni raiola wants him at united. the more big players an agent has at a club the better their negotiating position is in future

You could've said the same about Giroud and Podolski.

Giroud has been a great signing considering his fee and wages. Not his fault he's been our only proper striker for four seasons.

If we're gonna play Alexis on the left, we need a midfielder on the right IMO. And he has more goals in him than that, his only issue is fitness.

Looks like Wenger is trying to get lethal in transitions. Vardy and Mkhi aren't top players but hard to argue that they aren't good value purchases IMO. Hard to buy top class when you didn't bring in an outfield player at all last season, too many holes to fill.

Yeah you'd have to ask is Vardy/Mkhitaryan better than just Higuain, etc? It probably is.

Um, duh-uh... That fraud scores a billion goals in Serie A and can't sniff one at Copa America. Even Lamela who's not a regular got two yesterday FFS.

Schurrle looked promising as a forward at Leverkusen 4-5 years ago, because he's got good pace and is a decent finisher, but since Chelsea and the national team have stuck him on the wing he's been pretty shit since he has very little technical ability. Would drive me mad here

We sometimes need a mid on the right, I'd say—or on the left, if we want to move Sánchez to the other side. And though Wilshere has a lot more goals in him, fitness remains an issue. A fast, fit wide player with steady output and a bit of defensive gumption would help us more than Jack in a lot of matches.

I quite like Schurrle tbh, always have. Works hard, fast, good frame, gets in behind, good shot. He'd be a solid signing.

Dortmund saying Mkhitaryan is not for sale = lock this?

don't be wenger and think that clubs are telling the truth.

I think so - it's either Dortmund or United, from the looks of things. This one always seemed a little far-fetched, although stranger things have happened I guess.

more quotes from raiola about them trying to negotiate a move to yanited. i think this one was always pretty unlikely, given that it would displace a few of wengers favourites

Hope he stays at Dortmund and Yanited have another s**te season.

Let's just get the better player in the same position who is currently being shoved out with both hands from Bayern.
