There's been a lot of talk that he wants games now, to get into the French Euro 16 squad.

Can't see both Elneny and Rabiot happening, and Elneny is almost done (right?).

Maybe Elneny is the backup in case PSG won't let go of Rabiot? I really hope we have our priorities straight in this window. We need as good a player as possible.

Doesn't seem like it, with so many sources saying Elneny's already passed the medical and whatnot. I have no idea which player is better, I hope we make the right decision too.

Might be planning on getting both.

The Telegraph didn't even deem this worthy of its own story so I seriously doubt there is anything to it.

There's no reason why we shouldn't get both, if they're available.

Operation B.A.R.F. will ensure that there is more than one midfield vacancy.

Exactly. We need to replace Flamini, Arteta, Wilshere and Rosicky. Bringing in two central midfielders now and dumping three of those guys in the summer sounds reasonable.

Agreed. We'll be seriously light in central midfield come next season with Arteta, Rosicky and Flamini all out of contract. Elneny and Rabiot will get plenty of games.

So want. He's got natural physical strength with his size and he is a strong passer

We could be solid as on the road with an eleven such as this

------------Giroud
Alexis-----Ozil-----Ramsey
-----Coq/Elneny-Rabiot
Nacho--Kos--Per--Bellerin
--------------Cech

Dula, I'm worried about moving Ramsey around yet again. He's a versatile player, but it feels like in the last 3-4 weeks, he's finally starting to get the hang of being the central midfielder again. He's been doing a good job of giving us impetus from the centre. He still has a lot to work on though, e.g., his finishing and knowing when to float forward. Sending him to the wing again could disrupt his resurgence.

Seems like my suggestion that Wenger wants two midfielders because Ramsey isn't cutting it was spot on. Who would've thought.

This would be a godly signing. El Nenny-Rabiot would improve us ten fold.

No, your suggestion is still bonkers.
I take it that you have also watched Basel extensively to determine that Elneny will improve us tenfold and usurp Ramsey?

Elneny will hopefully improve us, but that's because Flamini won't have to be on the field.

Just realized how amazing our midfield depth would be if we managed to sign both. Wilshere, Santi, El Nenny, Coq and Rabiot. World class midfield to be honest.

What Quincy said^^ and Rabiot is certainly a better player than Ramsey so yeah.

That's your opinion, and it should be respected. I, respectfully, disagree though.
To me, it seems absolutely ridiculous that any manager with his team at the top of the table would replace both his central midfielders in one go with a PSG reserve and some no mark from a shit league.

I think we just differ in terms of what we want from our midfield.

Rabbit wouldn't score than Ramsey, but he'd give us security and good passing under pressure, which gives us the foundation to do more offensively and be more risky in our passing because he's a better technician.

Maybe they could even work together, but Ramsey has to be less gung ho, and revert back to the form he had in the second half of 12/13 season, where he'd all the basics right, be tactically clever, etc. if does that again, then I see no reason to why he couldn't get back to his 13/14 form.
