Benzema/ Kike

No fanx to the Hig.

Certainly - Benz + Vidz and we would be right up there in the mix.

We'll be right up there in the mix regardless.

I'd take Higuain. Not my top choice, but I'd take him if we can't get our hands on one of my preferred players. He is better than Giroud, that's for sure.

Of the strikers we are even remotely linked with... this is my preference

Benzema > Higuain > Martinez > Lacazette

Higuain is realistically one of the best strikers we could sign in this window.

I like him, confirmed bottler though.

😆

He is, which means that if it is Higgy or no one, then I'd take him, of course. There are still other players for the forward line I'd prefer, and not necessarily at 9 either. If we could get our hands on Reus/Götze/Bale, then I'd be more than willing to leave the number 9 spot as it is.

I agree with your sentiment Rex, the front 4 needs at least 3 players on the level of Sanchez and Ozil.

But realistically you might as well add Messi, Neymar and Suarez to that list of players you'd rather have. Aside from Reus, none of them are remotely feasible signings.

Götze has been heavily criticized this season from within the Bayern camp, so I am not so sure a transfer for him is impossible. Reus is, no doubt, my dream signing though, and with everything going on at Dortmund I'll be surprised if he still plays there come September. I agree regarding Bale; he is one of the few players we couldn't afford.

It will be awkward as hell for Wilshere if we sign Higuain this summer. How do you explain you're having the guy's wife's photo posted in the dressing room two years before you've met the first time? 😆

I hear you all saying £20-25m max, but there is no more £20-25m for established stars, you're talking about the market of two years ago.

Sure "Wele" cost only slightly less. 😆

if the choice is vietto for £14m (his release clause) or £35m for higuain, id take vietto every day. hell, i think id take him over higuain no matter the cost.

We can spend 100m this summer without too much fuss, do we really still want to buy prospects and not proven quality just to spare a few monies? I thought we were all past that stage now.

What has Vietto shown/done to be considered above a top striker like Higuain? I'm curious to know. Is he even a better option than Theo, let alone Giroud up front?

Even we can't afford much better strikers than Higuain, so the only way to get them is to buy them before they become that good.

was prepared to get jiggy with the higgy in summer 2013. not so much now

Higuain and Vidal this month would be an awesome start to post season.
Would Liverpool buy Welbeck?

I would be whelmed by Higuain. Not over or under, just whelmed.

Start? We'd be lucky if we got two players that good at all.

We've never spent over 25m on two players in one window.

Hoping for Higuain and Vidal is ridiculously optimistic as it is Claudius, but Welbeck to Liverpool is just spiralling off into fantasy. 😆
