Sonogo is out of the door.

He's been released by us since the start of June.

Here's a great tribute to the man.

Probably a load of rubbish but there were strong rumours they made a play for him last summer.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/olivier-giroud-included-arsenal-squad-10766922

Giroud will want to play regular games in World Cup year and knows the £52m arrival of Lacazette could limit his chances and may tempt him to go.

But he has stayed and fought for his place before.

Arsenal are likely to be realistic but would want in excess of £30m and Wenger has always remained a fan and would want to keep him in an ideal world.

Arsenal’s other new signing Sead Kolasinac is on the flight as is rookie left back Cohen Bramall but it is confirmed there is no place for Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson and Mathieu Debuchy which signals their likely departures.

Wojciech Szczesny is still an Arsenal player but is believed to be in negotiations with Juventus.

Krystian Bielik, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Donyell Malen, Reiss Nelson, Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock are the youngsters on board the flight from London out to Sydney.

They arrive on Tuesday morning Sydney time for a press conference, play two local teams then go to China where they play Bayern Munich and Chelsea.

As expected, Jack Wilshere and Gabriel have stayed behind as they are currently recovering from injury.

so, gibbs, szczney, debuchy, and jenkinson look gone. perez too maybe. but that might be contingent on what giroud does.

Any truth to this goalie to Juventus rumor?

Di Marzio is reporting the same thing and he is supposed to be as reliable for these things in Italy as Ornstein is for our transfers.

yea thats been doing the rounds for weeks.

seems fine to me. it was obvious wenger doesn't rate him, and honestly after his numerous howlers a few seasons ago, i dont blame him.

that said, we really need to find a young, top tier keeper because cech has like 1 season left (hopefully) at the top level. he looked shaky last season.

He hasn't been as reliable for the past 2 years. Got most of the things wrong.

Szczesny to Juve has been the story for 5 weeks now though so there's definitely something in it.

In what universe is Ramsey an alternative for Verratti? 😆

Both CMs but nothing like the same kind of player.

Wenger seemed quite adamant that Giroud will be staying, good news if true. Feels like Wenger wants to keep everyone though.

Di Marzio isn't close to as reliable as Ornstein.

Froim Barca's perspective they both fill the same need I'd imagine. I don't think anyone's gonna bench Busquets as the base of the midfield. If Verratti goes to Barca he'll be used in a box to box role for the next 4-5 years.

Barcelona's first choice is still Paulinho though, although Guangzhou has consistently rejected their bids.

The Spurs one? Over Verratti?

No, but Verratti understands that PSG won't sell him and now blames his agent for everything. Barcelona seems to have moved on.

sky reckon ox wont be signing a new deal

that's fine. let's shake him and other underachievers.

We should sell him if that is the case. I am a fan but he isn't special. He isn't Sanchez. That money can be used well.

Yeah Ox is really easily replaced. Take what we can get for him and just buy a genuine right wing back instead.

Cheerio then

This is like when your boy says his side chick wants to leave and you're like "you shouldn't even have a side chick in the first place". Of can go. He's not on the shortlist of 4 or 5 players who must stay to revive us. I'd actually sell him now and get a fistful of dollars

Hmmm I think he's a very useful player to have around and it would be a shame if he left, but as you say shouldn't be too hard to replace. If imagine Cuadrado is being lined up as his replacement going by rumours

Cuadrado is a better player, so I'd take that swap any day of the week.

i'd be delighted with cuadrado as a replacement. he'd leapfrog misery guts bellers too

Not a fan personally, but didn't he just sign permanently for Juve?

Cuadrado is fine. Won't pull up trees, but much better than the spotty contributions we have gotten from Ox.

He was never going to make it here, but if he works hard he might reach a good level one day because his tehncial ability is very good.

Looked a great prospect when he first game but from the sounds of it he's got a shit mentality.

Only real annoyance if it's true Ox wants out is that we watched so many inconsistent performances over the years.

Maybe we could go for Aurier instead since PSG are buying Alves.

Crowley signing permanently for someone isnt a surprise. Loads of talent, but as others have said, seemed to have attitude problems wherever he went.

Sky is peddling shit with their Ox stories. Sky is not a source nor are they first to break any stories - their "sources" are now exclusively if someone has broken it on Twitter already. Its all to serve their betting service nowdays.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/olivier-giroud-admits-considering-quitting-10780352

Giroud, talking at the club’s launch of their new third choice kit in Sydney, said: “It (leaving) is an option to be honest with you.

“I’m here in pre-season, I wanted to travel. Some people asked me if I am going to travel or not and of course, I am Arsenal player and for the moment I am here so I just want to prepare well for the season and we will see later.

"But it is true that I really enjoyed my five years with Arsenal. I’m still an Arsenal player for the moment so I try to be professional. No matter what happens, I did my job on the pitch.

“It’s been five years that I’ve been here. It could be my sixth one. I had an amazing welcome from the fans and from the club and it has been five amazing years for me.

“I won’t forget it, no matter what happens. We will see about my future but I am still an Arsenal player for the moment.”

Sounds like Olivier could well be off to me. Article goes on to say that we are reluctant to sell and it'll take a fee in excess of £35m for us to consider doing so.

Sounds even more likely when you see him saying it.

They have proven to be the fraud of the summer since the rubbish Henry Oyekuru stories.

It'll be a real shame if he goes. We just don't have another forward who can come off the bench and change the game or who can reliably score goals if Lacazette gets injured. He such a good pro as well, clearly he's looking to move but he still goes on tour and does his job and has good things to say about us. His flaws were always there but they weren't his fault, as second choice he'd have been amazing.

He's zero interest in being second choice. That appears to be why he wants to leave. As second choice he'd have left.

Would definitely keep him as second choice. He is really good off the bench. I don't think he sees it that way though.

world cup year. can't blame him. really want him to stay, he's a game changer off the bench
