He will get plenty of games, unless someone is bidding 40m there's no point selling.
Players Out

He such a good pro as well, clearly he's looking to move but he still goes on tour and does his job and has good things to say about us. His flaws were always there but they weren't his fault, as second choice he'd have been amazing.
Definitely among the best professionals at the club.
Should get a considerable fee for him.
£25m+ for a soon to be 31 year old Giroud is a great deal. I'd grab the opportunity to sell him for that amount.

Who will offer what Giroud does for £25m?

The problem is... he is 3rd choice. Wenger clearly preferred Welbeck once he came back from injury.
I think it's more that he prefers getting the most out of Sanchez/Ozil, and for the most part we've done that better with Welbeck leading vs Giroud. Wonder if Ozil/Sanchez have expressed a preference to Wenger....?
I'd say it is not in Arsenal's interest that Giroud leaves, though I totally understand why Giroud would want to leave. However, he had no problems signing a new contract with improved terms recently. That means all this talk about him 'deciding later what to do' SHOULD have zero bearing, because he made his bed when he signed that extension. He has a long term contract, there is no decision for HIM to make here, and IMO it would be daft by the club to voluntarily give up what Giroud offers off the bench. In theory.
Really hope Olly stays, very handy player to have and from a personal point of view he's one of my favourites.
Gurgen wrote:Would definitely keep him as second choice. He is really good off the bench. I don't think he sees it that way though.
We've got him to used playing week in week out! Should get him to stay and then let go next summer to whatever club he wants for a cheap fee in return.
He probably knows this is his last chance of playing a world cup so can understand him feeling uneasy about not being our first choice. He'll still get into the French squad because he will probably still get 30+ games for us and get 15+ goals in all competitions. Also Deschamps will want to build around Greizmann and Giroud is perfect foil for him. Only way Giroud gets dropped is if Mbappe has a monster season and if he does then he gets dropped from the first XI whether he stays here or not. He isn't going to take Benzema so that only really leaves Giroud, Greizmann, Lacazette & Mbappe. Only other competition is Gameiro, Gomis or Gignac, reckon he will get in ahead of them.
He doesn't need to worry about the World Cup as long as Deschamps is there.
Guys, is there any semblance of a market for Walcott? Why can't he be our Walker?
We're stuck with Theo until his contract is done.
Talk of a player swap with CFC - Ox & Matic.
Also Sampdoria interested in signing Wilshere & talk we only want 9m.
Don't want Matic. Does not fit our team and we already have a slow left footed midfielder.
Yeah not keen on Matic or any player Chelsea would likely offer in return. He'll be a wingback there too if he does go so not sure if it makes sense for him. He's not getting a starting berth in central midfield for any of the top 6 clubs.
some rumblings about giroud to dortmund

That would be a brilliant deal. Matic would walk straight into our team.
I too would take that deal without thinking. The rare swap deal
Yep I'd do it too.
Come on West Ham just buy Theo

It would never happen.
Why is Matic surplus to requirements? Weird movings at CFC.
