Exactly. Ox had a couple good cameos with many harebrained moments in between, plus all of them were wide with three defenders behind him. Leaving aside his inevitable injuries - if we ever get back to playing with full backs he'd be completely out of his depth there. Bellerin is five times the asset Ox is

How haven't we shipped anyone out yet?!

No surprise that we'll get fuck all for our transfer fees.

AFCamden says Bellerin has had a transfer request rejected by Wenger. That he wants to go home.

Not that I necessarily believe it but regardless, I've had a change of heart from my stance earlier in the summer. Force the fucker to stay for the next 4 years, then he can leave. Can't let those cunts think they can grab one of our players by playing their games every time.

Would imagine we'll keep dealing with players being ready to leave as long as Wenger is manager. Ox, Bellerin, and Sanchez all seem put off by Wenger, and then you have Wilshere and Ramsey who I suspect won't be Arsenal players much longer.

Rumours Giroud is going to Everton for 20m, don't see the benefit in that.

I thought OM had made a higher offer?
He's also linked to WHam.
Looks like Koeman may me looking at building a 433 like he had at Saints.

Reports that he's bought a house in Barca and that his family has already moved back.

If true and he wants to go AW is unlikely to stand in his way if push comes to shove.
I'd do a SAF & tell him he can go next summer if he puts in a transfer request and we receive a bid over 50m.

Wouldn't we have too few HG players after selling Ox, Gibbs, Wilshere, Walcott and (if I'm not mistaken) Szczesny?

as well as Jenkinson.

we can use the likes of Chambers, Holding, Iwobi, Rienne-Adelaide, Maitland-Niles, Rambo, Martinez = 7
add either Butland or Green as #2 or #3 GK =8

You can have less than 8 homegrown players. You just can't fill those 8 squad places with non-homegrowns. Jenkinson is a non-issue any way you look at it since he won't play any games.

I honestly don't see why everyone is making a big deal about Bellerin buying a house in Barcelona. It's hardly unusual for a wealthy individual to have multiple houses, one of which is close to their family.

If his family has moved there, then his London life is unsustainable. It could be like the Payet situation where his family desperately wanted to move back to France.

But knowing Barca, they've probably told him to move his family to Barcelona to force Arsene's hand because they know he's a softie.

As a matter of principle, I wouldn't sell a turd to Barcelona. Their shoddy treatment of Arsenal over the last decade should not be encouraged any further

Unless we are signing Mbappe as well absolutely no need to sell Giroud. He is a very useful squad member, just not a first XI player.

Doesn't sound like we are entertaining Barca, they've supposedly become very frustrated because we won't even meet with them to discuss this move. Stories coming out of Spain saying this, some even saying considering we are selling club they can't understand why we won't even meet :wut: Same with PSG, they're not even interested in talking about selling them Verratti.

If anything we have shafted Barcelona in the last 10 years with all our transfers. We gave them Hleb, Song, Cesc, and Vermaelen for roughly 70m and they gave us Sanchez for 30m.

The issue seems to be Giroud doesn't want to be backup to Lacazette, as he wants to be starting for France in the WC.

However the 'issue' is that he currently IS a starting player for France, and he needs playing time to retain his position in the squad and AW will be very aware of this.  IMO Giroud can not afford to stay for those reasons, and likewise AW can not afford to keep him if he is not the starting CF.

My worst fear with Giroud supposedly saying he wants to stay & does not consider Lacazette a threat to his place in the team, is that AW has indicated he is looking at a 2 man attack using both Giroud and Lacazette so as to mirror the French team.  Even discounting the potential of what this means re Sanchez, IMO Welbeck would make a better partner & is just as deserving of a starting role in regards to his WC selection.

Can someone link some solid reports that Giroud is looking to leave due to his France spot? Seems like a lot of idle speculation to me.

He's not, there have been several quotes over the last few weeks with him explicitly stating that he wants to stay at Arsenal.
