On another note, Jack looks like he's out the door. No mention of Arsenal at all on his twitter profile, he's barely mentioned us in the last few months. He's not been included in the kit builder either. Reports suggest he's not been offered a new deal.
Players Out
Its the right decision to move him on. He's been extremely average on loan. Bit of a combination of injuries and a lack drive are stopping him from reaching his potential. It happens.
Not a combination, the injuries have basically destroyed him.
His attitude is shit too. Thinks too highly of himself, expects his game but doesn't want to earn it.
While I get what you mean, why did he go to Bournmouth if he actually too highly of himself? Even if his loan had worked out, I think prioritizing his England position over our team wasn't going to be a good look.

I think its because he loves being an England star. He didn't want to have to compete with players like Ramsey and Ozil for a starting spot here. I stuck up for him in the face of all this for a long time because I hoped he'd come good but he just doesn't have the drive for it. Too happy with his level of fame.

At last a rumour about Theo leaving. Have a lot of time for him but he's just not cutting the mustard and him going would free up an awful lot of wages
What would you guys rather have?
- Theo out and replaced
- Ox out and replaced
- Ox and Theo out and replaced
- Both stay!
#3. Neither particularly critical. I'd get Amine Harit / Pulisic for Theo.

Any of the above is fine. Both Theo and Ox have their uses but they'd be easily replaced.
Theo gets a very hard time considering he had a better season than an awful lot of our players who people still tolerate.

My sources reliably tell me that Wenger heard about Zidane promising Mbappe that he would clear up space in the Madrid frontline by discarding one of Ronaldo, Bale, or Benzema. In return, he's told Mbappe that he'd match that offer by getting rid of Walcott. Mbappe is coming guys, in a 14 shirt.
I heard that Wenger has plans to put Gibbs in an Mbappe shirt and hope that nobody notices
In our current formation is there even any real need to replace Theo or Ox? I'd just get rid if it frees up money for a record signing or two.
A player with Ox's skillset is absolutely essential in this formation.
I think if Ox goes we need a back up to Bellerin but I prefer Bellerin to Ox at RWB.
If Ox hopes to get a starting job at a team better than Arsenal, he's smoking his jockstrap. Liverpool are not better than Arsenal. He should not be fooled by a season of managerial madness from Arsene. He's a bench player for a top team, and should accept that. Same with Walcott.

However Ox may be a better fit or get more opportunities at LFC.
Agreed re the last line for both.
Both Giroud & Walcott 'linked' to WHU.

I'd take the 3rd option, but the replacements would depend on what roles AW wants from the flanks & in what shape.
For mind if he wants end product then he could well go with 2 winger types and play 2 holding/sitting CMs to provide cover.
If AW wants to replicate a 5-5 split we could see something like
Aubameyang
Martial - Forsberg
Lemar - Xhaka - Goretzka - Bellerin
Kolasanic - Kos - Mustafi
Butland
Mirror say we've rejected Liverpool's first approach for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Around £25m.
If they go up to £30m or so selling would seem like good business to me. We wouldn't want Ox if he played elsewhere if for no other reason because of his injury issues.
They sold Sterling for 50m, shouldn't accept anything less than 40m for Ox.
These are the same petty cunts that specifically inserted a clause into Firminho's contract that specifically excludes us from even being able to activate it. We definitely shouldn't make it easy for them.
I wouldn't sell him unless he want's to go or is demanding silly money though.
Ray wrote:They sold Sterling for 50m, shouldn't accept anything less than 40m for Ox.
TBF Sterling is a lot better than Ox.
If it's the Ox we saw at fullback, we surely can't let him leave for less than 40m.

That's not enough. Lead them on for the whole summer and at the last minute tell them to fuck off regardless of the fee they're offering
No objections here.
A little too much up in he air this summer.
aulas is a piece of shit
Clrnc wrote:If it's the Ox we saw at fullback, we surely can't let him leave for less than 40m.
I'd take the £25m TBH. He is a crock who has never had a prolonged period of good form. Flashes here and there but if we can sell Ox and replace him with Lemar for similar money I think that would be very good business.
Definitely. If Chambo doesn't extend I'll take the money too. I reckon they'll get him on the cheap relative to how he'll perform for them, but it is what it is. We could use the extra money this summer, especially if we're serious about keeping Alexis and Özil (which we should be). I don't think he's a realistic longterm option out wide in this team anyway. He's not good enough in either end of the field to play out there.
I would not sell him for 25 million to Liverpool. After the shit they pulled with suarez I would make sure they pay upwards of 35 million for Ox. We really should aim to keep him , he is the one wide player we have who can beat his opposite number on the outside. Too many years of wide men checking back and passing sideways
Why cut off our noses and lost £25m just because its Liverpool. Ox doesn't compare to Suarez, he's not a difference maker at all. Where is he even going to play for Liverpool? Their front 4 are all better than him.
Guardian post a hail Mary story about shitty being confident of getting sanchez, at the exact same time as they post a story about our lemar bid being rejected. Transparent bullshitting right there
Absolutely drooling at our attacking speed already, if Oxlade gets added it'll be dynamic.

Thatstory is an utter car crash. For one this it suggests Alexis' nonexistent wife likes it in London.
Ornstein just said 50-50 if Alexis will go.

go away
Clrnc wrote:Ornstein just said 50-50 if Alexis will go.
Not quite 50/50, just said he may go or he may sign a new deal. Emphasised once again that we're reluctant to sell to an English club.
Cutting off our noses? How about stop being pussies and playing hardball . We have had too much sentiment while other clubs take us as easy picking's when they want our players.
Tired of seeing Sanchez name in the papers. Hope it's just a London media-Lind reader bias. If we put a bow on Sanchez and hand him to City, I won't even bother with next season. I would be beyond disgusted by Wenger and his dimwit twin Gazidis
GooneriC wrote:Cutting off our noses? How about stop being pussies and playing hardball . We have had too much sentiment while other clubs take us as easy picking's when they want our players.
You play hard ball on players like Alexis. £25m for Ox would be great business. Liverpool don't use wingbacks so what are they going to do with Ox?
