Sicario2 - Tier 1 I'm very happy for him
Former Arsenal Players Thread
Claudius that title requirement for miracles didn't apply when our current manager was asked for top 4.

QuincyAbeyie all I’m saying is finishing 4th or 5th is extremely different from finishing 1st or 2nd these days. You can have a lot of faulty players
I watched Fabregas's interview on This is Football and he mentioned that he had offers from Chelsea, City and Man Utd in his final season at Barcelona. Annoyingly, Gary Lineker never asked him about Arsenal, but clearly there was no offer on the table from us. Hard to really dislike him after that if we didn't even want to re-sign him.
Rightfully so after the way he left us. Like your girl leaving you for another bloke, when it doesn't work out expecting you to take her back. And then when you don't, deciding to get together with a bloke you hate.
He's always been bitter that Wenger made no efforts to sign him when he wants to return.
We'd spent £40m on Ozil, was never going to happen.
Don Pacifico really not a reason. we definitely had space for both players. was a royal fuck up

I didn't begrudge him for leaving, and it was the Barcelona players who were way more egregious than anything Cesc did in particular.
I also didn't blame Wenger, if he had indeed chose not to re-sign him, as we had just signed Ozil and Ramsey had a breakout season.
It does change things for me, though, as I was under the impression he refused to re-join.
Chelsea won the league as soon as they bought him and paired him with Costa.
daredevil I had no problem with him leaving either. At the end of the day we were an ambitionless club at the time and he gave us 7 great seasons. Always gave his all and always showed up even when it felt like things were rock bottom.
The way he engineered his move and the lack of respect that was shown does however grate me. He did great for us but we also took a chance on him and built the team around him which allowed him to flourish. When the Barca players were disrespecting us he went along with it as he fancied his move and then he almost went on strike to get the move, that I could never forgive. Nobody would have begrudged him a move to the best team in the world, that was the level he deserved to be playing at.

What about when he missed our game to go to the Monaco Grand Prix? Cuntish behaviour I’ll never forgive.
The handball against Spurs at home is when I knew he'd flipped and was counting down the days. Don't think I've sworn at an Arsenal player like that since Vivas lost Hasselbaink at the back post.
Loved Cesc like a brother when he was here. Had he stayed with us or left amicably like Theirry did for example, he'd probably be right next to Henry as my all time favourite Arsenal player. The way he left for Barcelona and came back to join Chelsea has really made me completely indifferent about him though. He was just a good player that played for us, nothing more. Just like van Persie, who I absolutely despise, he will go down as an excellent player that isn't considered a legend in any of the clubs he played for. Which is pretty sad when it comes to legacies. But I guess they have their trophies, maybe that makes up for it. I'm not sure it does though. I bet the love the likes of Ian Wright feel from Arsenal fans decades after playing for us is something you'd swap some trophies for.
est yeah. No Barcelona fab speaks of him in the way they do rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Messi, Xavi etc. and Chelsea fans appreciate their trophy mercenaries but will never revere him the way they do Drogba, Terry or Lamps.
We actually lost the chance to build these types of characters due to both not winning trophies but also our high star turnover. Who are our legends post 2006?
