It was just unfortunate timing for us, J.Martinez picked up a bad injury so Bayern made a move for Benatia. Roma were then looking for a first choice CB and we couldn't promise him first team football unlike them. From reports in Greece we were in pole position until Bayern went for Benatia. I also think we should have pushed harder for Sokratis in the summer, reports in Germany indicated Dortmund would sell for the right price.

Doubt he offers much more than what Schürrle did, thus its a pretty pointless signing.

He offers a lot more than Schürrle does; the German is basically a glorified sprinter, while Cuadrado more than matches him for pace, and on top of that has trickery in abundance, a good final ball, and is very good defensively.
Having Cuadrado and Hazard on the flanks with Cesc and Costa central is fucking ace.

Seems like we're missing out on Destro too Klaus, Milan have loaned him with the option to buy for 16m euros. I wonder how they can afford to buy him when they had to sell their team bus! 😆

I think Schurrle and Salah both wasted crucial developments at Chelsea.

i think cuadrado makes a difference to chelsea. lately hazard has looked like the only creative spark they have. cesc will be useless from around march onwards so getting another creative player is a smart move

Cuadrado will help Chelsea a lot. Pace is an area I think they could improve on and he has bags of it.
