thats a horrible deal, we're not that stupid or desperate.
Uh our only actual forward at this moment has zero goals at the top flight level in competitive games
20 million for a loan? 😆
Look apparently it includes wages too in the 20m. If you buy a striker like Cavani you're paying 50m plus 6-7m per year for a 4-5 year deal. His sell-on at 32-33 is going to be zilch. If you do the math it's a fair price.
Cavani 50m plus 7.5 X 4 years is 80m cost over 4 years which is about 20m per year
They're asking for a similar fee. If we can haggle it down and send some kids than great. Falcao fitness permitting pretty much guarantees us champions league next year.

Said exactly this in another thread. Take Falcao. It will work out to less on an annual basis than Cavani, and it looks like he is being actively shopped around. Cavani will have no residual value either, so it doesn't make sense to focus solely on him.
Not gonna happen.
Sanogo, Sanogo, Sanogo. That's all Gazidis needs to think over the next 4 days. Hopefully, we win tonight and continue to be attractive to the top-tier players
If the 20m includes his wages then I think it would be a very good deal especially if we can insert a buyout clause. Only worry is his rather persistent injury troubles.
There were no "persistent" injury problems. He had one long spell out and is back. Prior to last season his MINIMUM haul for four seasons was 34.
Fair enough G89, I thought it was a 20 million fee to get him on loan. Would sound a good deal if there's some sort of purchase option after the season included.

Those injury problems are not yours to deal with after this season if you don't want to extend him :-)
Just get him here on a permanent deal. He will win the league for us.

Arsene Wenger paying 20 million for a loan
Imagine that.
£20m for a season is an ok price. What would 3 years of him signed plus wages cost? It would be north of 60m.
That sounds like an ok deal, would have been more realistic if it was 10-15m
Rayman, when you say 10-15m pounds, you do realise that the top players in the world earn that amount anyway. You then need to amortise typical transfer fees associated with these guys. At the top end, someone going for 50m pounds over 5 seasons, means you have an additional 10m pound cost. When they're younger, you can always assume that you can get some money back in the event of a sale, but for older players, there's nothing coming back. You have a total cost of ownership of 100m pounds for a top player. This Falcao deal would allow us to remove some of the risk of having a player long-term
I'd pay 20 mil just to see arsenal field: Ramsey Sanchez. Ozil Falcao.
(Then fill in Cazorla, Walcott, Ox, Wilshere, whatever).
For once, a real top team.
Supposedly Falcao is on around 11.4m a year. Obviously we aren't going to pay all of that realistically and smash our wage structure on a loan deal. Not many clubs would be able to afford Monaco wages anyway, and they seem to want him out.
