I see last seasons flavour Atletico have gone to shit
Spanish football 2014/2015
well a drop off was expected, they lost some real quality. i'd like to see simeone operate with our wage bill and turnover which is more than 3x atletico's.
They're two points behind Barca and one behind Real. It's not as good as last season, but if that's shit.. Well, then there are no words to describe us.
They are not shit!
they beat madrid too this season no? thats without costa
They would give us a hiding.
I certainly wouldn't hold us as favorites anyway. We are well capable of beating them though.
Not if we play like we've done so far this season.
Messi just scored a hattrick to become La Liga's all time top goalscorer. At 27.
Yeah, but he is already 27. #notallthat
Iago Aspas scored a four minute hattrick. Doesn't happen every day.
Turns out he wasn't shit then, just played for Liverpool.
Wonder if he got flogged off just for that?
He wasn't exactly pulling up trees before that...

In which goal?
Dang them two in Spain. Hat trick replied with a hat trick.
Unbelievable at times isn't it?!
Ronaldo is on an epic pace this season - 24 goals, and 12 assists...both tops in the league. Hear a lot of complaints that his goal stats are padded by penalties (true) but his assist tally is unreal too.
23 goals and 8 assists. Still really good. Though 7 penalties in the 13 games he's played is quite insane. Many of them are incorrect, the big teams in Spain get a lot of help.
When you pile on the pressure and your team is in the opposition penalty box, then you greatly improve your chances of winning penalties. The more situations you create for the ref to get wrong - the more likely you are of the ref, eventually, getting one of the situations wrong.
Part of why we are awarded so few penalties IMO; we play too much around the penalty box instead of looking to get into the box as often as possible.
Padded by penalties and dives,if i may add..like the first in this week's hat trick
Messi second goal today....videogame style.
Moyes Sociedad 1 -0 up on Barca, only 9 minutes gone though.
Enrique is an idiot, rested Neymar and Messi. They even have a winter break, why rest your best players after a break?
King Moyes 1 - 0 Barcelona.
El nino's back home. Have to say, I feel somewhat happy for him, first time he hasn't looked miserable in years.
Meh, he's deserved his misery.
Imagine if he'd stayed instead. He would have experienced winning La Liga with them. Now he's just another has been who was supposed to be the golden boy but was never there when they made history.
He did similar to what Van Persie did when he moved to Chelsea from Liverpool. Hard to feel sorry for the guy. The move from Atletico in 2007 he had to make though. Atletico had a better player after he left after all. Aguero. Wish we signed him. He went for a very similar fee to Cesc in the same summer.
aletico giving real the business again. simeone has to be commended for keeping them so competitive considering the players they've lost. griezmann looks bloody handy as well.
Ah, Griezmann, would have sorted our left wing out.
Torres scores his first goal since his return to Atletico against none other than Real Madrid. Real need to score 4 goals to go through since Atletico won 2-0 in the home leg.
Shame the vine shows only the finish and not the whole counter as it was quick and deadly. Griezmann owning Pepe made it even better.
Ramos scored so they need just the three now.
Yeah 'just' the three. The way the game is going so far with relentless pressure from Real its not impossible but you have to wonder for how long they can keep it up. On another note Bale gets booed by Real fans in this game because he didn't pass to Cristiano in one instance in the previous one, even though he played well and scored a free kick
I'm happy for Torres

Bale has been pretty bad this season, they do not boo just because of that situation. He did the exact same thing in the match before too, when they lost to Valencia.
Also, Atletico really know how to play Real Madrid.
Torres again - game over
Nice work Antoine too.
Torres with a 2nd. Atletico have played Real 4 times since the CL final, won 3 drawn 1 and leading at the Bernabeu as we speak. Insane record.

I don't pay close attention to Real so that could well be the case. You have to wonder though how bad he's been considering he has 8 goals and 3 assist in 14 league games and 12 and 4 in 19 matches total.

He'll probably be gone in the summer. It looks like Real have a deal with Reus in place already. Maybe United will pick up Bale for crazy money.

Yeah, his stats aren't bad at all. However, Real Madrid scores so many goals, so stats like that for a side like ours would be so much better. He hasn't been good. As Klaus says, I won't be surprised if Reus is there and Bale is not come summer.
