Going for Khedira makes sense. We badly need players who could press and press properly. Him, Ramsey, Sanchez are that kinda players. I can see the logic in going for Remy as well. He has pace and that can give us options against teams like Chelsea who do nothing but press

Still think Schneiders is still the best option available for us. Combines excellent passing range with unreal workrate and tackling/interception skills.

More defensive minded than Khedira but I don't see why Khedira can't play deeper than he does at Madrid. Would be happy with either of them!

Khedira is a much better player than Schneiderlin. Whether he'd also be a better "dm" is a more open question. I think so though.

Schneiderlin plays for Southampton and only made the French NT thanks to injuries of others.
Khedira has been starting for Real Madrid and Germany for 4 years.

Why are people having hard time with this?

"Arsenal are baulking at the total cost of a swoop for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.
Having landed marquee signing Alexis Sanchez, the Gunners will now turn their attentions to signing a holding defensive midfielder.
Khedira, who has just 12 months let on his contract at Real, features highly on Arsene Wenger's midfield hit list. "

Khedira is on £150K a week at Real Madrid, is he? Sounds like utter bullshit to me.

Bacary Sagna and Koscielny didn't start. I guess Sakho and Debuchy must be better.

Because it is. His salary is much lower.

Most likely is, multiple coaches preferred him over Sagna.

One was a mistake, the other wasn't. I dont see why people keep linking the two.

Im not in for a surprise, you see im not expecting him to be an upgrade on Sagna. I feel they are on similar level, just offering different possibilities.

I sure don't. What I do however is to say that when Sakho playes before Koscielny, it doesn't carry much weight to use "Schneiderlin doesn't play for France" as an argument against him.

They have different skill sets, Schneiderlin is more what we need & would complement Ramsey more imo.

Those goofy charts make it look like all he does is get dribbled past and tackled while maintaining a high passing accuracy...

That article is ridiculous.

The "dribbled past" stat is inverted. It says he's very rarely dribbled past.

So if they can't dribble past him, he's a good "DM", right?
