Rodriguez isn't gifted with real pace and doesn't show the inclination to go in behind. A top talent but we need players for the wide position with different attributes.
Juan Cuadrado
Cuadrado will give us something different, he's very unpredictable and never afraid to take players on. Unlike Gervinho he's not a mental wreck either.
Cuadrado is the real deal, he can also play pretty much anywhere on the pitch outside of Gk and CB. Would fit with Wenger's ethos of singing players who can play multiple roles in the squad. Hear the Fiorentina just got the other 50% of his rights though, so how does it work that we are making an offer for him?

Sometimes Cannon is a twitterati
Other times he goes commando and makes it up.

Starting this summer Serie A clubs can no longer co-own players, so Fiorentina and Udinese had to work out some form of agreement.

Thanks for the news. So the player is essentially still on the market and hasn't singed a new contract as part of the deal to end the co-ownership?
His contract hasn't been extended, no. All that happened was that Udinese sold the remaining 50 percent of his license to Fiorentina.
He has many of the attributes that can improve us like unpredictability and more importantly pace.
We need more pace n power for sure.
too Gervinho-ish
I hear that but he does look a little more ruthless. Can smash a ball for a start
Definitely has more than a little bit of Gervinho about him. It's off putting even if he has a bit more to his game. I haven't seen enough if him anyway. Barely caught Colombia so far, sadly. Interested to see him against Uruguay.

Thats what I always thought about him. A better version of Gervinho.
He's not as good a dribbler as gervinho
Gervinho leaves players for dead with a feint of the hips
He's significantly better at almost everything else though. Not sure how he is with his head.

Yeah, Debuchy best right back in Europe last season?

Not my list but it is based on stats from whoscored.com and Debuchy's stats were high enough for him to be listed as the best performing player in his position. This is slightly more scientific than saying Cuadrado is Gervinho-ish.
Cuadrado is to Gervinho what Mandzukic is to Giroud. Has all his strengths, but not his weaknesses. Cuadrado is not mentally weak, and can actually strike the ball.

which clearly isn't true, that why I mention it. the list is inaccurate..
Cuadrado also isn't the best right wing in Europe either..
We can do a lot better
