I can't pick a 5th, there was nothing between Giroud, Ozil and Cazorla.

Those three better than Sagna?

I don't think Sagna had that good a season TBH. He wasn't terrible but it was a real straight down the middle average season IMO. Giroud, Ozil and Santi won us a fair few games.

1) Ramsey

2) Koscielny

3) Ozil

4) Mertesacker

5) Fabianski

BTW I don't want to turn this into an Ozil thread there will be plenty of time and other places for that.
I myself am undecided on him, we all hope and assume that he will improve.
All I'm saying is that he wasn't in our best 5 players this season.

😆

What exactly are you unsure of? Whether you'd want him sold before or after the World Cup?

Anyway,

Ramsey
Kos
Per
Ozil

The fifth can be any one of Sagna, Arteta, Giroud or Szcz.

Just on Giroud, he's obviously no where near what we need in terms of quality. But the guy scored 20+ goals and probably got up around 10 assists, that and him being basically the only player in front of the back 5 who was fit all season means he had an alright season in my eyes.

You should read what I actually post Boss, instead of what people who have an agenda against me say I post.

In order: Ramsey, ozil, per, sagna, kos.

That's my five too. I'm tempted to put Mertesacker above Kos but that's completely subjective as I love the BFG. Sagna is a close run thing for me too, but he get's it for his consistency rather than stand out performances this season, as I don't think he's hit the heights of seasons gone by.

I'm surprised Arteta hasn't made more lists.

Ron - put a poll in you numpty. Whilst I obviously wouldn't begrudge him winning, Kos has been consistent throughout whereas Rambo was injured for three months.

Poll added.

Ramsey
Per
Ozil
Kos
Sagna

It's all relative. Expectations are higher for Ozil so he needs to do more to get on these lists.

Funny I was thinking he's mostly on them based on reputation.

1) Ramsey
2) Kos
3) Mert
4) Giroud
5) CheeseKnees

Honorable Mention: Wilshere

Gotta be Ramsey, hasn't it? I'd have probably voted for him before the cup final, but scoring the winner? Signed, sealed and delivered!

I agree with this as we have all seen that his ability on the ball (controlling, protecting and passing of the ball) and intelligence on the pitch (dragging markers out of position to make space for others to exploit) has improved us to unimaginable levels.

Unimaginable levels? Seriously? Our attack wasn't even good this season, we scored less than usual.

He didn't have the shocker of a season some people in the media have claimed but he was far from dominant. All in all he had a respectable first season for a player adapting to the PL.

I'm expecting a big improvement from him next season.

Compared to last season and i say this as one of the few who hasn't picked him top 5.

And yet when I said that I had the 3rd Reich down on my head.

Who voted Ozil as player of the season in the poll?

I'm a straight down the line one of the herd normal Joe Bloggs Ramsey/Koscielny person.

only willing to name 4 who impressed me throughout the time they played

  1. Ramsey
  2. Koscielny
  3. Mertesacker
  4. Giroud

Everybody else did at most what we'd expect for a regular at a super quality club
