To be honest I don't know how much more tippy tappy than Giroud you can get. The guys is the definition of one touch flick type of striker.
Benzema
With 8 out of 10 of his flicks or lay offs not coming off!
Did wengs talk about transfers today?
Our problem isn't that we're too "tippy-tappy", it's that we don't have the players we need to play that way. DM and CF are a mess, and we miss Wilshere enormously when he is out.
@Arsenal Miami
Thanks 2 @Jeinnylizarazo 4 being accountable 4 her tweets! Benzema signs, I donate to charity If he doesnt, she does
booo they bailed out on the wet t-shirt punishment
Strategically placed cannon covers Johnny's erm I mean Jeinny's secret
Well fair play to this Jeinny bird, she's doing a great job of using people stupidity to get her self a bit of fame.
jeinny... paint your picture... about how its gonna be
by now i should know better.... your dreams are never free
tell me all about your little rumour bout karim
jeinny... you could always... sell... any dream.... to meeeeee
Balague has said today that no-one at Madrid expects Benzema to leave.
Close this thread already - we have a houseboat thread...
There have been several attempts to divert all the ITK Benzema houseboating to it's proper Houseboat home but they'very failed.
I think everyone knows by now that this Benzema thread's not the place for serious, reliable links.
Sadly
rodney marsh reckons real have accepted a bid from us. on sirius radio show. not sure where his intel comes from, but at least its someone semi credible

Damn you, Gazza! Had to immediately YouTube 'Jessie' and now I can't stop humming it.
Rodney Marsh is not even 'semi-credible' IMO.
Look guys, let's face it, Benzema to Arsenal is not happening.
The mods should lock this thread.
It does not get locked until transfer window closes.
If that's not too traumatic for people to cope with
No way are we closing up Jeinny's thread ffs!
Benitez said he's got hopes Benzema will score 25-30 league goals for Real this season.
Last time I checked he wasn't an ITK though.
Jeinny's time's kind of done though, waiting for one last maniac to take this on.
Edit: Benitez, what would he know

Out pops a smiling Jake Humphrey
Big name still bubbling away...but no news yet...you'll be the first to know! #AFC
FFS that's as good as it's going to get.
I hope he's right.
He's talking about Gotze
Is Jake a gooner?
£48m bid accepted. we did it.
Marsh is confirming that he said there was a bid accepted on the air:
My gut feeling is that he's getting a rise out of trolling the twitter gooners. What a weird transfer story this is though. Venezuelan tv personalities, Italian freelance writers and senior citizens claim to have information; meanwhile all the major ITKs and journalists are shrugging, unsure what to make of it.
he's told this guy as well
Andy Goldstein MBE @andygoldstein05 3h
Just been told by @RodneyMarsh10 on our show (sportsbar) on talkSPORT that he understands Real have accepted £48m bid from Arsenal 4 Benzema
would be high level trolling if he was blatantly making shit up
Welcome Karim
Such a weird story this one. No real concrete links but so many different people, some who should have a bit of credibility, who keep asserting it's on.
I don't keep up with all this twitter twatter nonsense so someone please confirm for me....are we back on or not?
T'was alwas on Daz
Good man Loylz.
Interesting hearing Tim Payton call the Ozil deal a direct result of losing out on Suarez and losing to Villa, he mentioned that he was offered round all summer and we were the only club willing to match his wages. Increasingly get the sense that we are comfortable paying market value.
Wengers quite happy to let points slip to save a few quid he's not a serious manager, he's just an amateur who likes to potter around on the training pitch and play at one.
Yep, that actually came up. There's 12 points available until the end of the window, and we've already dropped three. The question becomes, how much extra would you pay to get a signing in early to help prevent that. 5, 10 million extra? It's a difficult one to answer however much you think, as I do, that there's an imbedded culture within the club from top to bottom of doing the minimum necessary.
It's not just those 4 games - he'll need to adjust.
I'd pony up a few extra mill to get them in early so they can integrate and adjust ahead of the season

Tim Payton doesn't know shit, he's another aggressive ITK troll that happens to have a formal title of sorts. The idea that we're the only club willing to pay 140-150k for one of the worlds best players in this day an age is absolute houseboat when you have the likes of United, PSG and City paying around double that amount.
That assumes that he's getting 150k without any bonuses, or signing on fee. And that the clubs that could pay that, needed him at the time. Maybe, maybe not. I certainly wouldn't claim to know more than anyone else, but the point still stands, we went the extra mile for a player that came in to replace our player of the season the year before.
All players, including the ones who get 300k, get bonuses and signing on fee's, probably proportionately bigger ones too. And saying we're the only ones out of the clubs interested that were willing to pay those wages is a completely different statement, though I still call bullshit considering PSG were widely reported to be one of the other clubs interested.
That being said, I agree with your general point that we're willing to pay the market rate, but I think the relative speed and ease of the Ozil, Sanchez and Cech deals are probably a better indicator of that.
