Reyes and Eduardo are the main examples of the curse: Reyes couldn't hack the league mentality and Eduardo got crocked. PCY, Jeffers and Poldi did not have that much to have to be cursed in the first place - unless you expand the curse to include flops.

would be fine if our number 9 was a Cavani or Saurez who can hit 20-25 goals a season. as it stands, we can't afford to regularly start a Dirk Kuyt type with Giroud up front.

I consider Jozy Altidore the best defensive forward in the game. Bloke looks like an extra centreback for the opposition on most days.

No he's not ffs 😆 Akpom is an embryo in terms of senior football. Welbeck is pretty much a starter for England. He's not quite our starting XI level, but lets not go overboard.
