The Weng's winding us up - he's all about Zlatan this window I reckon

This could be your new gimmick Gael. React to everything with the appropriate Benzema pic.
I have the same "past-it" vibe from this as I get from Cech. Ah well, at least better than Welbeck.
edit: another good thing- he doesn't get crocked.

1 top player. come on rafa, insult his mum or summat
Ornstein has spoken!
We're gonna get Bale!
Sounds to me that the club got in touch with Ornstein after Lord Harris' comments about a 200m budget
What concerns me about what Harris said is that PHW didn't say it. Where has he gone? I haven't heard him say anything idiotic yet this summer. Hope he's ok.
He retired.
Awww

Good point.
Rafa speaks: http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11835/9923407/karim-benzema-will-stay-at-real-madrid-according-to-rafa-benitez
He said: "People are asking me about different players that maybe we will buy and I always say the same thing, 'he's not our player, I will not talk about that'.
"In this case, Karim is our player so I will not talk about that. I hope, Iām sure, that he will stay with us."
When are people going to get over the idea that Madrid aren't going to let their only striker go?
If they wanted another big name forward they'd be pushing it through the media relentlessly.
The expectation is that Ronaldo or Bale will be moved up front and Madrid may be in for someone like Reus. Far fetched as it may seem, it isn't unrealistic.
I don't mind us waiting if our intention is to sign top quality like Benzema, even if it doesn't come off in the end. I really wasn't impressed with Lacazette, we need someone better than Giroud. We need to upgrade on the quality in the squad. I really hope we can land a Benzema or someone equivalent for the front line.
Madrid fans didn't help their cause last year either.
Not sure how personally Benzema took it, but you could tell the players were put off.
Ronaldo is going to be moved up front. Don't think Benzema wants to be on the bench.
SMIRK WATCH 2015/2016.
Edit: @0:55 for all you sad fuckers who want to go straight to it.
Says we've got Sanchez coming back but we're also 'open minded' to future deals but 'not desperate'. One for the negotiating table, perhaps?
i think it all depends on what benitez has in mind. if benzema's going to the bench, i think he'll agitate for the transfer. otherwise, he has no reason to move elsewhere.
good player, he's good at bringing others into play and is a better finisher than giroud. giroud scores more ugly goals though, and they do count the same as sexy goals.
Re smirk watch at 0.55 - that's not an imminent madness grin.
I went straight to it, officially a sad f***er

Speculation that Reus is to replace Ronaldo as LWF,
Ronaldo to CF,
and Llorente as cover CF.
Seems like unnecessary tinkering but Rafa is more than capable of that.
Hmmm. Rafa may inadvertently be our trump card in all of this.
Rafa isn't known for throwing away top talent when he has it. I reckon a big, top class centre forward will suit Rafa fine.

Benitez doesn't have the final say though.
Didn't Rafa get rid of Alonso because he wanted Gareth Barry?
Ronaldo going up front won't be Benitez's decision. That much is obvious.
Why not? Benitez has always been a manager who is mostly about defending well. He wants wingers who protect their fullbacks, and he certainly won't get that with Ronaldo on the flank. Playing Ronaldo up front sort of solves that problem.

People were taking about what Benitez would do.
The guy would sign krut again if he could for rwf.
He sold Alonso and when he first arrived there was tons of rumours he wanted to sell Gerrard. He's not afraid to make a change.
What shirt number do we reckon Benzema will wear. The cursed Number 9 is available again :/
He will probably take Flamini's number 20.
When was the last time someone wore the 9 jersey here successfully?
Ray wrote:He will probably take Flamini's number 20.
Right.
He will of course wear the number 9. It's not cursed, we've just had some shit players wear it, that's all.
Rex wrote:When was the last time someone wore the 9 jersey here successfully?
Anelka I'd say.
Good one.
In terms of real flops for the number 9, only PCY and Jeffers make the cut anyway.
Reyes, Eduardo and Poldi all did well in their time here.
