Sounds to me that the club got in touch with Ornstein after Lord Harris' comments about a 200m budget
What concerns me about what Harris said is that PHW didn't say it. Where has he gone? I haven't heard him say anything idiotic yet this summer. Hope he's ok.

When are people going to get over the idea that Madrid aren't going to let their only striker go?
If they wanted another big name forward they'd be pushing it through the media relentlessly.
The expectation is that Ronaldo or Bale will be moved up front and Madrid may be in for someone like Reus. Far fetched as it may seem, it isn't unrealistic.
I don't mind us waiting if our intention is to sign top quality like Benzema, even if it doesn't come off in the end. I really wasn't impressed with Lacazette, we need someone better than Giroud. We need to upgrade on the quality in the squad. I really hope we can land a Benzema or someone equivalent for the front line.
Madrid fans didn't help their cause last year either.
Not sure how personally Benzema took it, but you could tell the players were put off.
Ronaldo is going to be moved up front. Don't think Benzema wants to be on the bench.
