I think that is probably what they'd prefer, not sure Khedira or Di Maria would be happy with backup roles there. You'd think Alonso & Modric have to start so leaves one spot up for grab

Definitely sounds like Khedira is off. Potentially good news for us!

Khedira would be ace for us.

If Khedira's place is in danger, we must pounce. Khedira, Balotelli, Aurier, Vela. Sooooo doable and affordable.

I would even take Casemiro or Illaramendi off them if Khedira isn't available.

Rumours from Italy that City bid 38m pounds for Benatia.

I consider him the best defender in europe last season alongside Kos.

He's good but he's not that good. He wasn't even the best defender at his club. I thought Castan was better this season whenever I watched Roma. Doesn't rank above any of Juve's defenders either as far as Serie A goes in my opinion.

So just how good does the Costa acquisition make Chelsea? It seemed to me they were a wing and AM oriented team and not really a team in desperate need of a CF even if mourinho made it seem like they had an inanimate carbon rod up front.

i hope costa fails in the EPL and the moron moaning goes overboard. it'd be a fun year.

still not convinced costa will be a smash hit, but he'll be effective for them. 20+ goals next season easily.

How is 20+ goals not a smash hit?

oh I thought he was only talking about league goals. my bad.

United are after Vidal big time. They let Fabregas got to Chelsea without a fight despite being all over him last summer.

Not sure what the Ramires situation is. Lots of talk about him being RM's top target. If Chelsea do let him go, will they move for another CM? Barkley? Pogba?

Rumors of UTD being after Cavani. RM could also be a dark horse.

Barca seem to after Reus. Meaning Pedro could be availaible...

UTD also seem serious about Sanchez. Seems between us them and juve ATM

Oscar to PSG..?

Bayern looking at Di Maria as a replacement for Kroos.. Who is himself seen as a Ozil replacement of sorts at RM

Juve might sell one of Pogba and Vidal to fund Sanchez/Di maria. If Pogba (more likely to leave) goes to Chelsea, UTD could be left cold waiting for Vidal!

The consensus amongst the various news outlets is that United were one of the many "other offers" Fabregas rejected to join Chelsea.

And, you can never say never, but United aren't getting Vidal or Cavani. No chance. More like Vermaelen and Song. Maybe Strootman. And Chelsea aren't going to pay out £40m+ for Pogba when they've just shelled out similar money for Fabregas. I reckon the Atletico left back, Felipe Luiz and their former midfielder, Thiago, on a free from the same club will be about the extent of the rest of their business. Diego Costa will obviously be confirmed soon, too, Courtois will probably return as well - bumper summer.

Oh to be crooked....

RM actively looking for a CM. Ramires/Verrati top choices

United will get a top CM and a wide attacker. Vidal/Pogba/Sanchez/Strootman ....

Courtois Costa and cesc, they have done well.

Three world class players in one summer is not to be sniffed at. We've got to get our own squad in order.

Cannon - you're overestimating United's pulling power this summer.

12 months ago there is no doubt in my mind that Fabregas would have gone to United over Chelsea. It just goes to show how quickly a clubs stock can fall in one season.
