😆
Biggus' Google + hangout with Wenger.
I suspect it would end as a bromance 🙂

Don't talk to me about pragmatism Niccolo, remember I was the one screaming for sane sensible signings who could play in the english game when Wenger was bringing in all these nutty fuckers like Hleb and Denilson and fat pricks like Santos.

I'm quite happy to talk to you about it, Benito.

The praxis and ideals of our club interact dialectically to produce a new mode of being.

In that process an individual fan might be able to exchange the ideal of not signing 'orrible cunts for the ideal of "morally redeeming" the 'orrible cunts we do sign, provided the practical goal of winning a few trophies is expressed in the synthesised Arsenal. 😃

We all have our lines in the sand, you need to know where you stand ofr you'll get blown wherever the wind takes you.
Wenger crossed mine a long time ago........I've decided I just can't accept this.

You can't stand the thought of the most successful manager in our history continuing to manage us, but you'd be happy to have us majority owned by a mobster. A chacun son goût ...

michu would be around 20 mill and dzeko closer to 30 mill. neither of them are even close to suarez' quality.

As I said in another thread Kel, if we really have 70M to spend and its not just bullshit, we should be going to Madrid and demand they sell us Ronaldo and stop fannying about with Suarez.

But you continue to watch every game and still support the team - that's acceptance.

@ Y va, I can still support Arsenal watch every game and hope that Suarez breaks his leg and Wenger is sacked soon after- I don't see any contradiction.

If we wait it out we'll get him, depending on how much he wants to come. It's probably more important for Liverpool to sort this quickly.

Ye definitely. The last time they got a huge sum late in a transfer window, it went pretty badly.

Only holds true if Madrid don't go in for him guys.

You'd want our £40m signing to break his leg regardless of the impact that this would have on the team and our chances of winning?
I take it back - that's not supporting the team, you're not accepting 🙂

I don't think they will. Get the impression they're not as keen as us and read yesterday they told Morata that no strikers would be brought in. Seems they're going after Bale this summer which would be ideal for us really.

You love to play Settembrini to my Naphta don't you 😉

real madrid wouldn't sell ronaldo for 70 mill and he wouldn't want to join us.

Of course it's supporting the team- I reject Wenger as manager, He's wasted plenty of money before I reject the concept that we are better off with him I refuse to support him, I reject the notion that we'll be a better team with Suarez in it- I don't see any contradiction.

Well, there's been nothing substantial about any interest, but I'd find it odd for Ancelotti to come in, decide to take the deal on Higuain to Napoli, and then not move on anyone.

I can understand the Bale logic for Madrid at a fantasy level. Bale on last season's form, opposite Ronaldo at his best, both ball hogs, but both electric, direct players, Benzema floating around and a couple of galactico playmakers like Ozil to glue it together in front of a quality defensive setup. Sounds tasty.

Just found this while reading ... "Real Madrid won't sign Liverpool striker Suarez ‘even if he begged’"

As we haven't actually approached them and made an offer theres no way that that can be proven.

In this case I'd say I'm more Barthes to your Saussure.

Madrid must have a substantial academy like Barcelonas, which should contain some pretty good young players, the best of the best from Spain/Latin America you would think.
I wouldn't discount them from Ancelottis thinking.

ancelotti has been consulted about the signings of isco and illeramandi. apparantly ancelotti wants a young, spanish core of players in real madrid. that is why they want to give morata and jese a chance up front.

This isn't a court room Biggus, you don't need proof. Most of us, including yourself I'd imagine, are sensible enough to realise that would be about as likely as winning the lottery.

Suarez is the best striker, probably even player, that's a realistic option for us out there, by quite a distance. If you can't get past his actions that's fine, but I see no reason why we're pretending that theres loads of other options we have that would put us in an equally strong (or stonger according to some) position.

Fair enowt. @Biggs Yes they have a couple of highly rated young strikers.

Oh well, if they don't want to go in for Suarez that's better for us, so I hope it's true.

Poor Burnsy this new paradigm has caught you out too.
I've disowned the baron a couple of months ago since he lauded Wengers way of doing things and hoped he'd continue in the future, he also expressed an admiration for Rooney.
