David Villa will have gone by the time Wenger remembers his pin number. It'll be Kevin Gameiro we end up with.

Gameiro, Barry and cesar.

It's all so clear now

Suarez is the decoy. We're still in for Higuain. Wenger's way of letting Madrid know we got other options.

Just read about this and that was my first thought.

Depends on who leaked the rumour about our offer, but it could easily have been us and the timing does impact on the Higuain deal.

Personally I hope we're properly in for Higuain and not so much for Suarez, who would be a very risky signing.

Problem is, it's a bluff so obvious everyone can read it.

Pretty odd how the story is being reported by everyone including the BBC. Definitely a leak here.

If Suarez is monitored closely and punished proactively and aggressively, he will be fine.
If he is available, he is too big a talent to ignore. I don't agree with many of his actions (I was at the Ghana game, for example, and was disgusted), but I also recognize that he is a top 3 forward in the Premier League.

He's not too big of a talent to ignore. He's an obnoxious little fucker who will miss another third of a season because he can't control himself.

Put this rumour in the bin.

Maybe it's Liverpool's bluff. They're probably desperate to find someone willing to pay £35m for Suarez.

I don't understand how driving up the price for Suarez helps us for Higuain. Maybe there is no other motive, maybe we just want him. Don't care what anyone says £30m is not a bad offer for Suarez.

Because we're the current highest bidders for Higuain (as far as anyone knows) and Madrid thinks he's the only horse in the New Arsenal Centre Forward Derby - so it's in our interest to let them think there might be another runner.

That's what Matt Law just tweeted

It is not a bad offer but it is not even close to what Liverpool will sell him for. They paid up close to 24m themselves. We paid about 12m for Cazorla and if somebody came in and offered 16. Would that be even close to considering for you?

The only thing this shows Madrid is we have 30m to pay for a forward

Think Ivan Gazidis shouting about it for the last few years has probably already done that.

But they want Suarez, right? I thought that was the conspiracy theory - that we're threatening them of nicking Suarez. But at the end of it we're just raising the price for them. Which, come to think of it, might be the threat.

My head hurts. I reckon we've bid for Suarez because we want Suarez. He's a fantastic player, but he's also a stupid shit that is likely to make managers tear their hair out. He's banned for the first 8 or so games, don't forget. £30m is not a bad offer - no matter what the deluded scousers say. They're never going to get over £40m for this twat.

I'd bet my right arm that the story didn't come from Arsenal.

You're on

At least now Wenger can say, we can bid 30m if the right player comes along...

30m is a ridiculous price for him.

I know I am alone, but this guy is perfect for us. Won't mind so much about all his controversy if he can join us and make us a title winning side.

His attacking movement is fantastic, and he can play on the wings as well. Would thrive in a side like us. Imagine Cazorla feeding him with throughballs...

Though not for one moment I believe that Liverpool will ever let him come to us, even for 40m. Why would they?
