I hope everyone has realised what an average, pointless player Pienaar is now btw.

No he doesn't need to make a decision. If you're not sure (which he couldn't be) then there is no decision to make. The moment you decide to take a guess you're bringing factors such as the crowd and player reaction into play.
Of course he has to make a decision don't be stupid.
Chelsea win it.
It was offside too.
Stupid Spuds..
Just seen it on 101 Goals, looked over to me. What a horrific mistake from Gomez though. It used to annoy me immensely when so many on A-M would go on about him like he was top class. He has always been a clown, a moron, an accident waiting to happen.

No top 4 for Tottenham equals very bad news for them, which equals very good news for us.
The whole ball has to be over the line, no? If so, that's not a goal. Can't say I feel bad for them nevertheless.

Any doubt and the goal cannot be given, the picture clearly shows the whole ball not across the whole line.
Spurs were robbed. :glee:
You can hardly blame the lino for giving that. If the whole of the ball isn't over the line then we're talking about the most miniscule amount. If that was us I would only be talking about the goalkeeper's part in it, and that's the truth, because that's a tough decision and one that I still think is the correct one.

Dems de rules Rick, if you're not sure you can't give it.
I'm simply enjoying this as both these teams are despicable to me but I have no real emotional investment.
Obviously if it concerned Arsenal I'd be livid/elated.
i wouldn't be livid over something like that. the keeper would get all my hate. i save my referee hating for clear examples of cheating like the shitheads who refereed the newcastle and barca games respectively. this doesn't even register on my outrage meter, don't want technically not across the line, but oh so close goals like that to be disallowed then bring technology into it because expecting that level of perfection from humans is crazy. and what if it was slightly over instead of not and the lino isn't sure but doesn't make the decision then it's chelsea that's robbed because "he can't give it if he isn't sure". nonsense.
Exactly my thoughts. I genuinely wouldn't say a bad word against the officials if that were us, it would all be saved for the goalkeeper.
Gomes brings nothing but smiles. He's part of the unfaltering promise of entertainment that is Tottenham Hotspur. Their games always have something.
Time for my daily rant: how the feck is Gareth Bale player of the season? There were at least two players on his own team who've had better seasons than him, and he was rank today. it's just another kick in the teeth for the Arsenal fan this season
The linesman had no idea whether or not the first Chelsea goal was legitimate or not - caved into the pressure - didn't raise his flag but then indicated to the referee that it was a goal.
Gomes is a complete klutz though.
It was only a matter of time before he cost them.
Looks like they are really in a battle for fifth with Liverpool now.

No such thing as "slightly over" it's like saying slightly pregnant........
I'm happy for Franky it evens up that one he was denied in the world cup, so the cosmic balance is maintained and alls right again.

Unsurprising Twitchy is calling for goal line technology-

Worry about getting a decent goalie first and then open your cake hole you mug......
Liverpool have looked decent without that overrated, postion-less bar-brawler in the line-up. I wonder if they'll think about selling him in the summer
And it's another goal for Maxi. Heh
