I disagree, mainly because i don't think Moyes really knows what's needed. Already with Mata seeing signs that he doesn't really have a clear vision about how to use him.
Lets all laugh at Man Utd.
^^Doubt Moyes/United ever planned on getting Mata. Chelsea made him available and they probably thought he's too good to pass up.
Think he wants to use Mata the same way we use Cazorla, and the same way he used Pienaar at Everton. It is hardly shocking stuff playing a creative mid off one flank and a more direct player on the other flank.
Man U fans are complaining that Moyes doesn't use Januzaj, who has been their only bright light this season, along with Mata. Moyes opting for either Valencia or Young instead indicates that he DOES have a plan to me. Too bad that both Young and Valencia are shit, but he certainly seems to have a system.
Moyes' systems and philosophy to date have been based around kick and rush. High energy, high octane and very classically British. He's often resorted to playing a long ball game and getting runners off of a target man. Think he knows he can't get away with that at Utd, but I've seen no sign that he's able to really evolve.
All very well saying 'creative player here, direct player there', but that's just names on a team sheet unless you can devise a system and a way of playing that gets the best out of those players.
He looks utterly confused with how to marry his ideas with superior footballerers to me. Either that or he's unable to get his message across to the players.
He no doubt had an awful start to his time there, but you have to remember that this situation is also completely new to the Man U players. Most of these guys have been winning things for years and considered themselves the dog's bollocks. It felt very weird seeing class players like Rooney, RVP and Carrick so incredibly afraid as they were against us. For almost all of them this is a completely new situation, and they obviously have difficulties dealing with it. Long may it last, but I doubt it. I reckon they will find some sort of consistency down the stretch, ship a few of the older players in the summer, add a few class players who will get the squad buzzing, and come back strong for next season.

Do you remember we beat them 4-1 at their place with an Eduardo double.
Our goals came from long balls over the top and Moyes bitterly complained that Wenger betrayed his short passing philosophy just to win!
Suarez and Liverpool to pip us to third n van Persie n united to scab a champions league win?

Why do you have such abominable thoughts coursing through your head?

So did Steve McManaman on the punditry.

Well at least it's not as bad as when he said Spurs would nick our 4th place trophy.
Rumour floating around now is that Rooney is going to sign a new 5 year £300,000 a week deal.
Decent deal for United, why would Rooney want to stay though.
Decent deal? 300k-per-week for 5 years...

maybe because his wife likes it there and isn't interested in moving to Paris or Madrid like Posh.
I think its pretty clear at this stage that Rooneys main motivation in his career is money. Nothing wrong with that but the idea that he's a naive kid who just wants to be out there and the pitch giving his all no matter what is bullshit.
It would cost 40m to replace him without taking wages or adapting period into consideration. This deal is costing them 70m over 5 years. A good deal would have been a 4 year contract.
I can't see them paying him £300K. That would make him the best paid player in the world by some margin, wouldn't it?
300k a week for a guy who is only gonna turn into a fatter blob over the next five years
That rumor has been floating around a while, right? Depends how highly you rate Shrek really if you think it is a good or a poor deal. The main worry with him, due to how his body looks, would be that there could be an Arshavin-like decline in two years or so. Then it would be a massive millstone of 300k/week to carry for 3 years.
He's going to be earning an extra 2 million or so a year, playing for a side who won't be competing for the title and probably not in the CL...
