Not signing this guy for 7.5m would be criminal.
Pound for pound the best signing we can make this Jan. But like I said earlier in this thread I wont hold my breath.

I agree Alf, but Wenger will more than likely prefer to spend double that on Arda whose game may not be suited to the Premiership as referees do not afford dribblers much protection here.
Agüero, Tevez, Cazorla, Silva and Oscar seem to be doing pretty well.
Would they get more, less or the same amount of protection in La Liga as they are getting in the Premiership?
They're doing well so it doesn't matter.
That's beside the point
:hmm:
That IS the point.
Nope.
The point gentlemen, is sharp.
The 5 players Klaus mentioned are sharp too!
And suarez, they have all been successful in the pl, just because your a good dribbler doesnt mean you are weak

Not really the point, is it.
Suarez, Mata, Wilshere, Hazard, Sessegnon and Ben Arfa don't seem to have any problems either. The idea that Premier League is too physical for certain types of players is hard to defend when the best striker is 5'8 and the best attacking midfielder is 5'5. The referees will adapt. They've done so remarkably quickly compared to where they were just three seasons ago in my opinion. Modern football tactics have put forward new demands.
That's not what i said. Please read my original post properly.
It's down to the player, nothing else matters.

Remember Wenger saying how bruised Hleb's legs would be after most Premiership games. Wasn't called Wolverine for nothing. Same goes for the young skinny Giggs who rode tackles like no one else and, to me, were amongst the least weak players around.

That's almost six years ago. Back then we were more or less the exception. Since then quick, technical football has become the rule.
That statement was just backing up Sam's point about dribblers not being weak.
My answer to you, Klaus, is in post 62
You assert that dribblers don't get protection in this league as a reason not to buy Turan, even though the best attacking players in the league are all great dribblers...
They obviously get enough protection to excel. Even gervinho...

Are you sure?
Please show me where asserted that?
