Nein.
You can come home now Cesc
We've replaced cesc. He'd really leave Barca's bench to sit on ours?
If so, I have no problem with it. Good for depth
No need. We have Santi.
I hope his career goes down the drain proper.
YounGunner wrote:After the way he conducted himself during his last summer here i don't think there is a way back for him regardless of his talents. Wenger is a manager who doesn't forgive and Arsenal have Cazorla in his position so he won't fork out 30 million to resign him when there are other priorities in the team.
If Fabregas leaves Barcelona it would be to one of the Manchester clubs or Chelsea. Wouldn't say Real Madrid were out of the question either.
Us being adamant to get that first refusal clause into the deal seems to indicate that we are more than open to take him back should the opportunity arrive. Wenger himself was the first person from the club to point that out.
He'd instantly be our best player again. Anybody who thinks otherwise is not serious.
We have Santi... so we've filled our quota of players who can actually play football?
If he was done, truly done with Barca, then yes.
Ofcourse, absolutely, 100% I'd take him back. How often do we get the inside track to add a truly world class footballer to our squad? One that would instantly settle in to Arsenal life.

Fixed.
Fixed again.

Ok, I'll admit it - a greasy-haired Spaniard killed my pet dog.
Fixed.
Problem is we have moved on and no longer play to his strengths so there is no guarantee that he would be a success here. Not saying he wouldnt ever be accepted here as most fans are fickle by nature and Time/trophys heal, as GM mentioned Re:Tevez.
PS It's not as if the guy broke into your house and did a Schwarzenegger Conan the Barbarian!
Forget time and trophies, the vast majority of fans would take Cesc back instantly. Personally I don't even think there's anything to forgive.
Nice try to paint it in anti-Spainish terms Burnsy, but you're talking bollocks.
Arteta & Carzorla yes.
Fabregas & Almunia no.
@ Tim, so you don't think theres anything to forgive.....Just like RvP he made his choice and now he can fuck off.
Would take him back in a heartbeat.
Aw c'mon Biggs. I did mention greasy hair as an additional trigger.
Either way I'd have him back because he's a top, top player.
YounGunner wrote:If Fabregas leaves Barcelona it would be to one of the Manchester clubs or Chelsea. Wouldn't say Real Madrid were out of the question either.
Don't agree with this. I think it's us or Barca for Cesc. Not a chance he'd sign for another English club
I'm with Tim. Nothing to forgive.
That surprises me Ricky, I thought you were like me in the sense that there is no second team, no admired rivals, no objective discussion, if it ain't Arsenal- it's shit.
I accept he is an excellent player but I've never thought he was quite as good as people made out. I also don't quite like his game compared to mids like Wilshere and Cazorla. But he'd improve us and the days of the squad being filled with gooners are gone so of course id want him back.
He is one of the top 20 players in the world. Easily. We don't have anyone who would even come into question for a similar ranking.
Biggus wrote:@ Tim, so you don't think theres anything to forgive....
Beyond the fact that he didn't win us trophies single handedly, oh, and he's greasy apparently, even you dont know why you hate him so much. Also some weird idea among a very select group of mainly foreign fans that we have a genuine rivalry with Barcelona (a team we've faced about 10 times in over 100 years), to the point where they'll actually want Chelsea! to beat Barcelona in the Champions league semi-final. All very strange.
Anyway, overwhelming majority of fans would take him back, and if he ever returns to the Emirates for a game he'll get a good reception. As i said, nothing to forgive.
