We won't be able to afford those players.

If there is another 17 year old Jack Wilshere around, we should not think twice before snapping him up, without wondering what he might do with us when he turns 25. It is upto the club to provide them the on-field and off-field support system to retain them.

So much nonsense being spouted here about us buying youth players. Can't be arsed to respond properly to such rubbish.

If everybody thought like SamDaGooner Cristiano Ronaldo would be stucked at Sporting Lisbon for quite awhile.

You clearly can't grasp the thought of what I was saying then.

I'm talking about niang a 17 yr old trialist from the French league two and arsenals failed youth project, and your talking about sportings ronaldo. Not even going to bother replying properly.

You are talking about us being wrong for signing talented teenagers. When we first eyed ronaldo together with Manure he hasn't even played regularly in the Portugese league. He was just a talented teenager as well.

Compare this to Niang, he played 2 full seasons, one in ligue 2 and one in ligue 1.

Its always good to sign as many talented youngsters as possible, any one of them turns out to be a world class player we'd have saved a huge load of money. The others we can always sell for good fees. See Vela.

No I ain't saying we are wrong to sign youngsters every club does, I am saying signing the odd youngster is great, but signing one or two every window isn't. Wenger should focus his energy on signing ready made players, because history proves signing these teenagers hasn't worked.

Sam basically throwing the toys out of the pram because a couple of players such as Cesc hurt his feeling.

There are three points which make the aversion to signing young players really silly.

  1. Szczesny, Wilshere, Chamberlain, Gibbs, Ramsey, Song and Walcott do or will represent about £100-150m worth of talent if bought ready made. Then there is the fact that it is highly unlikely the more talented from that group such as Chamberlain and Wilshere will even be available.

  2. As annoying as it is to see some leave, the 50 odd million we got from Cesc and Clichy probably funded the signings of Podolski, Giroud and Carzorla. While as pointed out above even the flops provide a steady flow of income that at the very least offset the money invested in them.

  3. I can't remember the third point anymore, but I'm sure it was very good.

😆 On which planet do you think those players are worth 100-150 million. Wilshere was an academy player we didnt buy him. And coincidentally all of them mentioned bar szczesney are british. Whilst in previous years all the youngsters we had were foreign.

Anyway this isnt about cesc leaving, this is just a general failure to win whilst investing all our efforts into signing and developing youngsters.[/align]

How much are they worth then?

Removing academy players wilshere and gibbs from the list and they would probably be worth 50 million.

Didn't you know? Every time Wenger signs a youngster, it directly stops us from signing ready made players. If we didn't sign all these youngsters we would have bought kaka.

No, but we might have won a trophy or two in the last seven years. But hey at least we made a few bob out of fabregas, vela and senderos.

Chesney, chamberlain, ramsey, theo and song would sell for £50m? Have you seen the market?

Flipping heck, there are two guaranteed £20m players in that line-up.

I forgot that we paid for Eisfeld in league points. We would have finished higher up if we'd signed no one.

Chesney - 5 Chambo - 15 ramsey - 5 theo - 15 song - 15 thats around 50 million there. Opposing teams wouldnt value these players highly even if they are british, you may get the odd idiot like dalglish but generally walcott for example isnt as highly rated. And we always seem to get done in the market unless mancity get involved.

😆 That's just insane.

Leave it, mate.

Either way there are worth no where near 100-150 million 😆

Ashley young and kagawa went for around 17 million, no one will be willing to pay more than 15 million for theo walcott.
