It essentially has nothing to do with how analytical people's approach is - has more to do with how superficial they tend to be (lazy, scared, unoriginal, try to be accepted, whatever).
it is really strange already at the starting point (as Nela mentioned) - people are interested in football, follow football, are emotionally invested in it - yet don't bother really having their own ideas? prefer to be "owned", bossed, whatever.
But it's like that in life? everyone prefers to be enslaved, just not to look at life in the eye? sure. You want to tell me this is not strange?
