Focus on yourself and your own goals. Only way to succeed.

Heh, thats Wengers tactical philosophy too- The one which has succeed so brilliantly these last 7 years and on the European front.

And when you fail you can blame the weather/pitch/ref/injuries/ fixture list/oppositions anti-football, anything but your own perfect self.

What if your "goal" is to nullify the opposition and score bags of goals against specific teams winning all manner of shiny along the way?

By and large that is the right way to go about things, so I see what Captain means. Otherwise you end up like Ranieri or Benitez and tinkering yourself into a stupour. Our biggest issue over the past 7 years has been the quality of our squad, with some Wenger lunacy thrown in to cap it off.

'Some Wenger lunacy' Wenger has been the manager since 1997, he's controlled almost every aspect of the team since then.
He decides who is bought sold loaned, he decides who is paid what and how long their contract is, he decides who the coaches are and what system and style we play, he decides who is selected and who is substituted, the buck stops with him.
So yes- he is somewhat accountable for our failure over the past 7 years.

It's definitely a weird part of being a passionate supporter.

My hate, literal hate, for United is not healthy!

I'm not sure what to think when I meet other football fans who love a particular club but are able to cheer on other English teams in Europe. If I'm honest, I think to myself "proper fan, my arse!", but they're probably just better mentally adjusted than I am. 🙂

Me too. I hate them to the extend even if the whole club crash and burn I wouldn't shed a tear

If he actually gets near ball Drogba will do damage.

Any contact at all on a Barca player guarantees a minimum of one minute rolling about in apparent agony.

Preaching to the converted here!

Sorry Pest, but there is holocaust denial mini revival under way just because we've strung a few wins together, apparently the last 7 years never happened.

Thats okay Y truth never contradicts truth and is always welcome.

If I could bet I would put $10 on Torres to score the winning goal for Chelsea in the final.
