Indeed. They usually make them seem unexpectedly long on the assumpetion they will be appealed and shortened. Wouldn't expect it to end up being more than 4 or 5 games in this case.

Not for offences are serious as this one though. There's very little precedent for this, particularly since everyone outside of Liverpool agree with the ban and the FA spearhead the Kick It Out campaign.

Talk about a storm in a tea cup. He obviously meant no offence as evidenced by the fact that he used the word as part of a sentence chastising racism in football and calling for the status quo to be improved on further. The bloke at the end of the video sounds like a diiiiickhead, too.

An ITK on Rawk posted long before yesterday's game that the team were going to wear Suarez T-shits. Cue Liverpool fans pumping their chests, "I could cry," YNWA stuff. Then one poster actually posted this as a serious suggestion.

i have a very efective idea can someone pass it to those in the know. ITK!!!

just before kick off when the cameras are on, the team forms a circle chain chanting very loudly, "NEGRITO! NEGRITO! NEGRITO!

Then in the midddle out pops a smiling glen johnson pulling up his jersey to reveal a t-shirt of suarez with a text saying. "OUR SUAREZ IS A FRIEND TO ALL COLOURS!"

this all ends with a loud "we willl never walk alone!" war cry from all the players1

I could not stop laughing.

How could a fan be so stupid. To be fair, most of the responses were pretty hillarious mocking the guy for posting it. And that mocking was just about the only bit of sanity I've seen from Liverpool fans over the past 24 hours.
